Ctrl Alt Del
http://imajr.com/Soul_Calibur_Star_Wars_235093 ?:| What does that means? Jedi Knights as guest characters on Soul Calibur 4? Wow! This was extracted from this month Electronic Gaming Monthly magazine, just read the last paragraph and you'll see what I mean, that is, if you can, because the image is very low-res. Anyways, let me type it down here to those who can't read: "[...]Also, don't count out the possibility of "guest characters", such as the console-exclusive cameos from Heihachi, Lnk and Spawn in SC2. We've heard some phenomenally popular saber-rattlers from a major film series may be joining the cast...[...] Well, that wasn't a little discreet. stoffe
We've heard some phenomenally popular saber-rattlers from a major film series may be joining the cast...[...] Well, that wasn't a little discreet. I couldn't see anything there that would hint at Jedi specifically. Lightsabers doesn't rattle, after all. Could just as well be Pirates of the Caribbean or something like that. Pavlos
Lightsabers doesn't rattle, after all. Neither do normal sabres
John Galt
Neither do normal sabres poorly made ones do! I hope they have some good guests in the next SC, though.
Mike Windu
I'd count on Pirates rather than Jedi. It just seems to fit.

Reclaimer
Star Wars sounds like their aim, but like others before me said, sabers don't rattle, so they have an interesting choice of words...or they don't know what they're talking about.
Ctrl Alt Del
Reasons against -- Pirates: How many sabers fights we've got on the movie? Most of the weapons there aren't as remarkable as sabers. 300: You said it: Series. Unless they mean comic series.
SilentScope001
It could be Pirates. I am doubting it's Jedi...hm. There has been a lot of movie series with fighting in them. If 300 turns into a moive series, I don't see why it wouldn't be there. Wouldn't Monty Phyton work... HEY! How in the world can they justify placing random people from other dimensons into this world to fight for some strange magical sword? You don't just transplant Link from one game onto another game series that bare little resembalnce! Oh wait...they did do that, but it was really just stupid. Jae Onasi
Having worn a real saber at my side, I can tell you this from experience--sabers rattle in their sheaths as you walk or move unless they're tied down or very tightly sheathed. It'd still be cool to see Jedi however.
PoiuyWired
Either Jedis, Hairy Potter or Transformers, the choice is yours. Personally I think the Cameo characters are unbalancing so far though. Plus, too many cameo characters and the game turns into Super Smash Brothers. Oh, BTW SC series is coming out wih a new non vs Fighting game style product on teh Wii, with swinging saber actions. You don't just transplant Link from one game onto another game series that bare little resembalnce! Oh wait...they did do that, but it was really just stupid. They did that for each console they were making the game for, and I don't recall any announcements for the LucasBox yet. Having worn a real saber at my side, I can tell you this from experience--sabers rattle <insert blargen blergen here> So do lightsabres if you put a handful of beads in them. >_> I doubt that LA would just let a company use their characters for a fighting game that's completely unrelated to Star Wars, especially if it would nerf lightsabres from the cut-all tool to an ostrich feather. LucasArts is so used to have other companies do their games for them, that a few meetings and contracts would end the whole issue. Besides, they wouldn't do a best saber-wielding game and so much detailed Jedi not in a million years.
Sabretooth
hmmm.... I'm thinkin more.... edit: oh crap, I just noticed that it said "Series", there goes the best idea in fighting game history Leonidas with a freaking sabre? You make me sick. I'm guessing The Bride from Kill Bill. The katana is like a Japanese sword-sabre, so they probably didn't bother keeping katana or something. OK, bad idea. Ztalker
Okay...all we know is there will be a guest character that wields an outdated, if not, rusty sword. Add a mustache, eyelshadow and rum: And it is possible in matters of canon, since Cervantes (another SC character) is a pirate too. ..and that was without a single drop of rum

Spear and Shield combo is not done in the game yet. Well, at least he does not shoot arrows or throw bombs around. Plus, my other guesses would be TMNT. Why? Cause you don't need new moves. Conside that almost all 4 Renissance artists have their move counterparts already, now only new models are needed. Either that or Mario. On the side note, I would really hope those "generic weapon characters" templates would be in the game once again, specifically I love to use that Amy chick(aka vampire bride). SilentScope001
Oh, and for those wanting a Jedi fighting game, here it is! Star Wars: Master of Teras Kasi for PS1! http://www.gamespot.com/ps/action/starwarsmastersofteraskasi/ Review: http://www.gamespot.com/ps/action/starwarsmastersofteraskasi/review.html?om_act=convert&om_clk=gssummary&tag=summary;review I'm seriously wondering if this is canon... EDIT: More seriously, the Arena sidegame at Star Wars Ep. 3: Revenge of the Sith game was actually quite fun to play.

Corinthian
I don't mind. They already had Spawn, Link, and somebody else that I can't remember for the life of me, and that didn't damage their series at all.

PoiuyWired
Well, showing up as cameo bonus character in a videogame is ok... now lets hope the reverse will not happen. Seeing random cameo from other games and such in a Star Wars Series would be bad... Think about having pikachu hopping along with Yoda, or Oola Dancing along Beastie Boys, or Vader chilling with Doom, or Boba Rolling in Optimus Prime... Granted, the Vader-Doom thing is kinda cool if I remember right. But definitely not canon material.
