I wasn't sure at first, but I just checked and it was 28GB. I'm not too surprised though. I've had up to 150GB at one time or two , but I don't count that because it was for recording purposes(ie recording a band to mix and master down to CD tracks) and I wouldn't count that. As for my regular music, 28GB sounds like a lot but I'm rather eclectic when it comes to music. I listen to a bit of everything. Heck I even have recorded "Sounds of Nature" for when I'm not in the mood for music. You name a genre, I've probably got a playlist devoted to it. I could probably start several internet radio stations if I were to start just playing them over teh intarwebz

Oh and before anyone asks, Yes I have the real CD's for everything. Though Jewel cases have been boxed up for years on some of them.

Music 19.92 GB

Plus

Music Video 4.42 GB

Although I could weed out some of the music and delete the video almost completely because there is a lot of crap my 12, 11, 10 and 7 year old cousin have had me download so that they have something to listen to when I drive them around. I can’t even listen to my IPod on random play anymore for fear a Hanna Montana or Hilary Duff song will come on. :(

I feel for ya, man. I can't ride the bus anymore cuz all the bus driver plays is the Diseny channel. *shivers* If I listen to one more Hannah Montana song, I am going to blast Metallica every day for the rest of the whole damn school year.

Anyways, I got about 20 gigs o' crap on my iPod, but some of the space is devoted to REd vs Blue, Buckethead vids, and music videos. But last time I check it was about 18 gigs, but most of that is crap rock from the 80s.

We'll find out who does it legally and who doesn't in this...anyone who says they have over 250 gig...downloads all the music they see...I have trouble maintaining 20 gigs.

Or we find out how old they are. I have over 4000 Cds, I went through and only uploaded the songs I wanted from those CDs and not every song. Now I just download the songs I want from Itunes. It is still cheaper than buying an entire CD for one song. I’m still bitter from buying Led Zeppelin’s box set (even though I already owned their collection) for “Hey Hey What Can I Do.”

22GB on my iPod and an extra 1GB on my computer (that isn't on my iPod). and since i buy my music by the CD, everything is backed up on different harddrives as well as the original CD's. hehe, come to think of it, its one of the few things that backed up with multiple redundacies with my stuff. :)

I have about 7 Gb on my computer right now, but my iPod only holds 4 so I have to pick and choose. If I get around to loading all my CDs (and convert my cassettes to mp3s) I'll probably have about 20 GB worth of music on the computer, but I'm in no rush to load them since I don't listen to the older music as much.
