leXX Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 To celebrate the launch of LucasCast, we are holding a competition. We are giving you the chance to compose the LucasCast Jingle, that will be heard at the beginning and end of each podcast. The winner will recieve a unique badge, that only they will have, and noone else. Rules: 1. We need an Intro & Outro, each must be approximately 10 - 15 seconds long. 2. It cannot contain any copyrighted material whatsoever. It must be completely original. 3. Jingle must be submitted in .mp3 format. (Save a copy of the original .wav file. We'll be needing it if you win.) Post your entries in this thread. The competition closes Sunday 8th March, and the staff of LucasCast will decide the winner. So get composing, and Good Luck!
True_Avery Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I'll jump on Garage Band this week and see what I can come up with.
jrrtoken Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Any ideas on what sort of jingle we're going for? Like, super epic glam metal keytar riff, or awesome cinematic chorus?
Darth Groovy Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Truth is, we are not really going to know until we hear it.
leXX Posted February 23, 2009 Author Posted February 23, 2009 Any ideas on what sort of jingle we're going for? Like, super epic glam metal keytar riff, or awesome cinematic chorus? Anything really, doesn't matter what style, so long as it's fun and catchy.
acdcfanbill Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Any ideas on what sort of jingle we're going for? Like, super epic glam metal keytar riff, or awesome cinematic chorus? ohh ohh, keytar, keytar, i vote for a keytar jingle!
jrrtoken Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Is there any way that the public in general can vote, instead of being a staff-only thing?
Jeff Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Is there any way that the public in general can vote, instead of being a staff-only thing?Certainly post comments on ones you like the best once we get the submissions, but I think we will choose the one we think fits with the show the best and take your comments into consideration.
Lynk Former Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I personally can't wait to hear what everyone will come up with
RoxStar Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 How many entries do we get? Do you want a separate outro? EDIT: Can't read, sorry! If you would like something more contemporary, give me a shout!

Negative Sun Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 hmmm, am quite busy these days but might give it a whirl...I'll need the fiancee's help though she's amazing with stuff like that.
Nedak Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 Alright I made a possible intro. I'll create some more within the next coming days. If you experience any audio problems or have any ideas please let me know. It's better than nothing I guess http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/216013 I also uploaded it on newgrounds because I didn't know where else to upload it EDIT: Finished outro. I've been really busy and have been having writers block, so it's probably not the best in the world. I'll change whatever you want on it, make it shorter, longer, add stuff, etc. http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/219127 revised:3/7/09 NOTE: Also, I made all jingles using FL studios and Adobe Audition for editing.

Darth Groovy Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 Also Nedak, if you like, I used AudioStreet to put up some tracks from old bands I been in over the years. It's free, and really easy to set up. http://www.audiostreet.net/index.aspx
Nedak Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 Awesome, thanks! I'll make an account and use it for the outro and any other jingles I make.
Darth Groovy Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 Not to be a jack ass, but is this all of the entries? Nobody has posted in this thread for like 2 days. We record LucasCast Episode #2 this Sunday. Would be REALLY NICE to have a jingle ready by then... Thanks again, Grooveh
