Fightpads are $30, last I checked. I think you can pick one up at Best Buy if you think that'll make things better. :)

I was actually thinking about buying one, but I keep hearing the quality is very poor on them - either they don't work or they break very quickly.

By the way, since no one has said it yet:

May the Fourth be with you.

I said it on Facebook earlier...

Dentist appt. early. It was a beautiful day here, and I wanted to get out and get things done and enjoy the day after my time in the chair.

What I did was come home and collapse... fell asleep for about 5 hrs. So tired and burned out... I hated wasting the day... but I do need the rest.

Just finished up the Class F 34-lap endurance race in Forza 3. My Supra was pretty unrecognizable by the time it crossed the finish line. Now I just have the R1 endurance race left at Nurburgring, then I'll be done with the super long races and can focus on the factory-spec races.

Just hope I can get everything done before Red Dead Redemption comes out next week and sucks up all of my time. :D

its just under 2 weeks, not one, :(

Sure. I'll get on around 9:30 PM Eastern. Or we can do it later if you want.
Sounds filthy! :naughty:

Hooray for internet hookups!

:joy:

Last college concert of the Spring Semester that I have to work. Fan****ingtastic. Couldn't come soon enough.

My spirits (and apparently also those of everyone around me that I work with) are at their lowest ebbs. Everyone here has that battle-weary burnt-toast look about them, and nerves are obviously frayed and raw.

Had an area meeting this morning. About as pointless as usual... but our boss took us out to lunch at a Mexican place afterwards... so that kinda made up for it.

You like to jump a lot, Keyan. xD Just try and learn to control your jumping and block a bit more and you'll win more matches. :)

All of that jumping was not on purpose. No matter what direction I try to move, it always wants to jump, so I have just learned to live with it. Also, I try to block, but it frequently does not actually block. I guess the timing is wrong or something. Anyway, I play about once every few months, so getting better is not going to happen. I imagine I'll play a few more times while the release is new and then forget about it, destroying any progress I might have made. I wish this were like back in the day, when I could sit around for hours practicing moves and just having fun, but alas, working 12 hours days doesn't leave much time for fun anymore. Being a grown-up sucks :(

Having a Rogue 15 moment...

Some random chick contacted me on Myspace looking to get "in touch." I'm wondering if it's a real person or not. 'She' sent me an email addy, so who knows?

Either way, it wouldn't be worth my time to even play with the idea except as a joke... she lives near Pittsburgh, PA.

Think I'm just gonna have pass on this one. After all: the last Myspace meetup I tried worked out so well for me.

lol i've gotten SEVERAL of those, i messed with the last one (not the spanish chick, it was a different one) then i just broke communication when she said she was in the UK. stupid euros claiming they're from america.

my suggestion ed: see if she can come out to meet you. if you get some reply that doesn't make a damn bit of sense, it's a scammer.

Here's the profile.

No... I'm just gonna ignore it. If she ever sends a follow-up message, maybe I'll rethink and respond. But I doubt it...

I feel bad if it's an actual person, really looking to meet someone that way... but the idea is kinda weird to me anyway: Contacting a random stranger you know nothing about except for a couple of select (and possibly false) facts and personal tidbits they choose to post on a social networking website. Especially choosing someone who lives hundreds of miles away.

Maybe it's no more odd than doing the same thing on a dating webpage... but nothing in my profile indicates that I'm looking either.

If it is a real person... then I'd certainly have to hope that she is thick-skinned enough to be prepared for no reply in this instance anyway...

The writing in the message is bad enough to make me believe it's not English as a first language... but then the other Myspace chick who approached me had terrible spelling and grammar in her written communications as well, and she turned out to be a real person and American... but just not very... educated.

yeah it's probably a scam, especially someone that lives that far away. they ask for the email because they send out a buncha the same crap and end up getting deleted off myspace due to spam.

I was going to go run at the track today, but there were too many kids up there. so i turned around and came back home. Going to be designated driver for my friends tonight. that should be fun.

i just played a few hours of Oblivion, did a little bit of the main quest before getting stuck, apparently if you're the mage guild LEADER you get reprimanded from "stealing" from your subordinates. how lame. so they want me to go around collection 20 dragonheart flower and 20 of some other ingredient to get my standing back or whatever. so i said hell with that and went on to fight in the arena, beat that quest. not much left to do other than thieves' guild, then i gotta go on that collection mission.

oblivion will probably be the first game that i've collected all the achievements on.

The profile is already gone. Guess somebody must have followed up and reported.

Bought Need For Speed: Shift and Dirt 2 today.

Walked about 5 hours today. An hour this morning, and almost another 4 after work.

There are downloadable demos for both in the XBox Live marketplace.

I've already took first place in both the NFS races they include in the demo. It's a tiny bit more 'arcade-style' racing than Forza... but far more realistic than older NFS titles. A lot of different tracks to explore, though.

Dirt 2 is harder... it's a realistic driving simulator... but since it's almost all off-roading, the cars respond completely differently. Should be an interesting challenge though... and something to break up circling the same Forza tracks over and over again in my quest to get the "Solid Gold" achievement.

I've been watching Gran Turismo 5 vids for a couple of days... and now I'm SURE I'm gonna end up with a PS3 before too long...

And, unfortunately, I do have to admit I'm a bit disappointed that profile was a scammer... for a brief moment I found myself flattered and happy with the thought that something about me may have actually made a female stranger somewhere interested in getting to know me better... as weird as the situation was.

But alas... it wasn't true. Oh well... back to reality.

When it sounds too good to be true, it always is.

Did a lot of running around today. Just took a 3 hour walk.

I've decided that any DVD I watch from this point forward will be a Blu-Ray, so I'm going to buy a new HDTV and PS3 either tonight or tomorrow.

Probably tomorrow at this point...
