True_Avery
ACTOR Johnny Depp rescued a friend from a mugger brandishing a broken bottle in Los Angeles, The Sun reports. The robber allegedly backed down, saying, "I ain't stealing from Captain Jack," after he was confronted by the Pirates of the Caribbean actor. Depp stepped in when British singer Stephen Jones was accosted for cash as the pair left a recording studio in Los Angeles. A friend said last night: "It was an extremely scary moment. This guy looked off his head. "Johnny looked him straight in the eyes and told him to back off." After Depp intervened, the star-struck robber backed down. "He looked at Johnny and said, 'I ain't stealing from Captain Jack' and put the bottle down. Johnny gave him a few bucks and told him to straighten up his life." http://www.news.com.au/breaking-news/johnny-depp-accosts-mugger-in-los-angeles/story-e6frfku0-1225861684273 Badass
Rtas Vadum
Yeah, I don't think I could either. Not that I even see reason to steal anything mind you. But if he(even if it is just Depp), was between me and what I want, even just around it, I'd just back right off, and quietly leave. It'd make the whole thing even funnier if Depp said "Back off, mate", in that voice he uses in the movie. I'd laugh anyway, I can't speak for anyone else. Arcesious
That's just awesome. It pays to be an actor like him.

Totenkopf
Depp's probably lucky the guy was star struck. Still, it was awfully sporting of him to give the guy a few bucks and politely tell him to bugger off.

Astrotoy7
I grew up watching Johnny on TV. Its a shame the Don Quixote film he was in never panned out. That would have been great. Now all we have left of poor Johnny is a movie of a Disney ride and the token Burton loveable weirdo roles. Fig.1. The good ole days. mtfbwya
purifier
Damn good actor IMO. I really liked his acting in "The 9th Gate" and "Sleepy Hollow" to name a few. Of course his acting in the other movies were just as good. I'll bet he could pull off an acting role as a character with a multiple personality disorder (or DID as they now call it) like Sally Field did in "Sybil." Liverandbacon
psh, I'd steal from him Same. He is a pirate an a thief, so it would just be thieving from thiefs. And if you want to get all boring and "reality" on me, he's just an actor, so he probably has plenty of cash.

Ztalker
I'd have the bottle signed with 'Why is the rum gone?' Nice to see he goes out without bodyguards etc. Almost like normal people would.

Bob Lion54
You hear all the time about actors getting annoyed with people being unable to separate them from a character(s) they play. Sometimes, it works out, though. hehe I wonder how many would be robbers run and hide when Bruce Willis walks by... Or, how many people run screaming from Christopher Waken... Astrotoy7
When Depp scrubs up, he can look handsome, but he's currently stuck looking like a drugged up communist naturopath.. I generally am not into blokes, but this captain jack can manhandle me anytime mtfbwya
