Remi Posted August 16, 2022 Posted August 16, 2022 As for the portal, that was pretty much cracked here previously, I do believe. We are traveling down quite the portal here ourselves it does feel like. 2
Benny Posted August 16, 2022 Posted August 16, 2022 I love this thread and much as it pains me to say it Remi is right, it's deffo #1 2 1
Marius Posted August 16, 2022 Author Posted August 16, 2022 Interesting, currently I am the only one believing in #2. My reasoning is simple, but also boring: I think Guybrush walks through some parts of the town we don't see. Especially between High and Low street. In my mind, Mêlée Town is huuuge, and we only see a small portion of it. 1

I always imagined Fester running further into the alley when he sees Guybrush approaching. Probably giggling the whole time. By the way, I always love that you can see his sword peeking out from behind the corner the whole time until he jumps out of his "hiding spot". 1 2 1
Wally B. Posted August 16, 2022 Posted August 16, 2022 (edited) Excuse my crude drawing skills, but this is clearly what's going on here. I know it doesn't make much sense, but neither does the shopkeeper store. Edited August 16, 2022 by Wally B. 4 2 1

As I've mentioned elsewhere, I'm pretty sure we're giving this way more thought than the MI1 team did. :~ 3 minutes ago, Marius said: By the way, I always love that you can see his sword peeking out from behind the corner the whole time until he jumps out of his "hiding spot". Also, that would suggest Fester is standing there with his back turned to the alley. We are solving the big ones here! 1

I spotted the same thing myself but when elTee ran it through DREAMM he didn’t get the same. 🤔 3

BillyCheers Posted August 16, 2022 Posted August 16, 2022 “Enjoy”… 👀 What I am totally missing in this discussion is the whole aspect of realism/cartoonism. 🤓 (Okay, I’m outta here…) 2 1
LowLevel Posted August 16, 2022 Posted August 16, 2022 (edited) Let me add a controversial "evidence" that the wall with the circus poster (and the windows and the door) can't be the church: In my opinion, it's "A". It's an alley behind the shop. Also, city walls have no windows. Since the rightmost side of the alleyway shows another building, the building with the circus poster on it can't be one attached to the city walls: EDIT: so no, it can't be "A" neither. I retract my previous statement and vote for "6". Edited August 16, 2022 by LowLevel Removing a "null" word magically appeared in the post. 1

ThunderPeel2001 Posted August 16, 2022 Posted August 16, 2022 We've got official confirmation! (Apologies I shared your drawings on Twitter @Marius - I hope you don't mind!) If that wasn't enough, Ron chimed in with a canonical answer and a possible spoiler...! 1 4 2
BaronGrackle Posted August 16, 2022 Posted August 16, 2022 The fact that it was something they had to think about for MI6 is huge praise, Marius. 3
Niemandswasser Posted August 16, 2022 Posted August 16, 2022 Can I just say how much I love this site and Marius specifically 7
Remi Posted August 16, 2022 Posted August 16, 2022 30 years and now I have to rethink everything. >: 2
Thrik Posted August 16, 2022 Posted August 16, 2022 Wow, so my original belief was right, even though this thread made me revise it! 1 1 1
Jake Posted August 16, 2022 Posted August 16, 2022 Wow too bad Ron and Dave are wrong about their game. ReMI already down to 99/100 and it’s not even out. 1 5 1
