Surfnshannon
What sequel did you think SuCKEd big Time. That should have NEVER been made... maybe it was for a movie you ABSOLUTELY LOVED and Anticipated the sequel for years and the sequel was SO BAD it scarred you for life. I think the sequel that was the biggest dissapointment for me was...Jurassic Park 2 The lost World. I loved the first Jurassic Park. I was a big fan of dinosaurs when I was younger...and this film was so entertaining for me. I read the book, bought the SNES video Game...You name it. In anticipation for the second Movie I read The Lost World and very much looked forward to the next movie. I bought tickets for the sneak preview and went to go see JP2 the Lost World. AHHH!!! I ripped all my hair out, thru my Reeces Pieces at the screen and burned my copy of The Lost World. (j.k). It was a HUGE dissapointment. What was up with the black little girl that was supposed to be Malcolms child...who uses Gymnastics to save her from the VELICORaptors. WTF? Aside from the fact that this movie had maybe one memorable charector from the first, which I really liked those charectors from the first movie!! I hated the fact that this movie really went NO WHERE and that the movie ended like some sorta Godzirra movie. It got so corn ball that when the mommy dinosaur and the baby dinosaur started to hug eachother I felt like I was watching Animal Planet meets Lifetime for Women. This was a HUGE Insult to me. then they made...Jp 3...which was okay.... but now they are talking about JP 4??!?!?! JUST LEAVE IT ALONE PEOPLE!!! GAWD!! Money grubbing whores. edlib
Star Trek V Of course, it was an odd numbered ST movie, so I didn't have much hope to begin with. I'm just happy they chose not to leave it there and made "The Undiscovered Country" afterwards, which almost made up for it.

Jah Warrior
most disappointing sequel is Godfather 3, it was a good film but it pales into utter insignificance compared to the first 2.

Darth Groovy
I would have to say after much thought, that Jaws: The Revenge is by far the worst sequal I have ever seen. It plays on the premise, that a family of sharks that have been slayed by the Brody family, is after the family itself. Shark's do not have intellect, so what a stupid premise that was. And (I don't even care if I spoil this, because nobody should have to endure this movie, but the scene where the shark practically stands up out of the water on it's tail fin only to be impaled by the bow of the ship, has got to be one of the biggest blunders in Hollywood ever. I would have to agree with STTCT on Jurassic Park II I was very exited about the movie and could not wait to see it, but the scenes were so freaking over the top, that you almost had to laugh at them. I can always tell, (so can most of my family, and my girlfreind) that I am hating a movie, when I start looking at my watch, looking around at the interior of the theater, and looking back at the projectionist (as if it were his/her fault the movie sucks) The parts that bugged me the most in that film, were the most pivotal parts. There is a scene where a van, a dinosaur, and all the main characters are dangling from a cliff, at which point I just said out loud, "yeah right!". Then the scene with that little girl swinging on the bar and kicking a Raptor in the head was too stupid too even except. I was very exited about this movie coming out, but left in discust. In fact, I was so discusted, that I purposely skipped over Jurassic Park III. I finally, after a great deal of persuasion decided to rent the DVD, and was very entertained by it. Jurassic Park II, contained alot of what made the first movie so fun. And that movie, is the first movie since Scary Movie, the only film that made the ring of a cell phone seem scary. However, I do feel they need to quit making Jurassic Park movies and try to think of something else instead.
SkinWalker
The Blues Brothers 2000. Damn, they should have left well enough alone with that one. Belushi must've rolled over in his grave. Now the original Blues Brothers... THAT'S a classic! Some cool BB quotes: I'll have four fried chickens, and a Coke. - Jake And some dry white toast, please. - Elwood Jake: "How much for the little girl? The women, how much for the women?" Restaurant patron: "What?" Jake: " Your women, I want to buy your women. The little girl, your daughters. Sell them to me. Sell me your childrens!" It's a 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses. - Elwood
Skate Boy
Men in Black II, was bad. So was JPII. And Jaws: Revenge. Ihave to agree with people who said those. They all sucked. Another thing about JPII that I hated...they killed Eddie!! That was so stupid.

BCanr2d2
I have one movie that I can't even believe they made in the first place, let alone make a sequel, but it's not coming into my head.... If we can, how about discuss some other ordinary movie types - like worst book to movie conversion, or TV series to movie, or even better, worst remake...... How about Predator 2 - doesn't even have Ah-nult in it. There are a few like that when the sequel fails to get the original actors back...
Wacky_Baccy
I think my least favourite sequel ever would have to be... The Return of Jafar o.o *shudders at the now distant memory* Aladdin was good, but they made a horrid mess of RoJ... Although I do own the video, frighteningly enough O.O ...And I quite liked MIIB, even though it wasn't nearly as good as the first ^_^ Posted by C'jais Anal adventures II What? You mean you watched the first one, and thought it was good?!? And you have the cheek to practically accuse me of actively looking for innuendo in your posts, when all the time you're coming out with stuff like this! Clemme w/Stick
Speed 2 and JP 2! JP was an awsome movie and still is. I looked forward to the sequal and I got dissappointed big time. Then they made a 3rd one and its so much better than number 2. I have mixed feelings about a 4th one, but it can only be better than the second one! I'm not even gonna comment Speed 2! -Clemme
StormHammer
Lethal Weapon 4. I liked the first 3...although even the third was a bit strained at times. But LW4 was a steaming pile of bantha poodoo. Alien 3. A complete and utter disappointment, considering Aliens had been such a great sequel to Alien. And then someone thought making Alien 4 was a good idea too. Um...Newborn? Um...NO! I have to agree about MIB 2 as well. I agree that sometimes they should just leave a franchise alone. If you can make a great sequel, then fine, go and do it. But if you're just trying to cash in on some perceived fan base, then leave it well alone.
SkinWalker
Another bad sequal was Indiana Jones: Temple of Doom (my *GOD* that lady was obnoxious!). They recovered very well with IJ: The Last Crusade, however.
SkinWalker
Oh... and let us not forget the Highlander sequal that featured the immortals as actually being aliens from the planet Zeist and MacLeod as the guy responsible for global environmental damage/salvation. I think I was the MOST disappointed as I've ever been leaving the theater (theatre to you British chaps). Highlander 2.... Katarn07
Every Disney sequel! They are all the opposite of the original is seems! Lion King: Simba wants to be King - Kiara doesn't Lady and the Tramp: Tramp wants to become a house dog - his son doesn't Little Mermaid: Arial (I think... ) wants to be on land - Her daughter wants to be a mermaid... Toy Story- Woody gets Buzz to realize he is a toy - Buzz gets Woody to realize he is a toy Toy Story 2 is good, though! In conclusion.... JP2. JP3 was good, IMHO. And ToD did not suck! It is just not as good as the other Indy movies. How dare you make such outrageous claims
