Endorenna
(shiver) I'm not much of a one for snakes...they really freak me out. But, if I ever saw a friendly snake, yours would probably be it. Later I might post some pictures of my dog.

Later I might post some pictures of my dog. Well their ofcourse not on the same level as dogs or cats. You can't hug it or have a nap with it I enjoy the beauty of its colors, how it moves(if it ain't sleeping) This is a rather innocent snake, gutatae gutatae aka "Ratsnake", North American species. Gets pretty tame and isn't overly aggressive. It doesn't get overly big, about 1,80 meter is average.

But you're right, snakes are beautiful--sometimes. How do you feed him/her? Do you use rodents, or do you use food from a box?

Quanon
Ah, ratsnakes. They still freak me out, lol. Little seven-inch garden snakes are my limit. But you're right, snakes are beautiful--sometimes. How do you feed him/her? Do you use rodents, or do you use food from a box? The food is called "pinkies": deep frozen baby mice without fur.( 10 in a small box) Had to "unfreez" them in a hot bath of water, then feed to the snake. Now its baby rats, bit bigger with fur, still frozen. ( 5 in a box) Sounds sadistic( real decadent deluxe) I know; but in the end not much differant what happens with meat for human consumption. Endorenna
That's the reason I couldn't handle having a snake. I've had too many gerbils to feed a small rodent to anything! Still have to get those pics of my dog. :/

Darth Avlectus
Levy. She's my little girl. The last of my rats. Store bought. Was bought companion to other rats I had before her. Not as sweet or playful as past furballs, but still affectionate nonetheless. She is very good and tends to return to her cage on her own if she gets out. My girlfriend (now ex) used to be able to do more with her--I guess dad just doesn't have the right feel or touch. :rolls eyes: Almost 1 year old, approximately. She is intelligent and sort of sociable. Curious of everywhere I take her around my place until she gets too uneasy and scared. Then back into the cage she goes. Cannot take her out very far. I have no plans in the foreseeable for future rats after Levy's gone. Levy is now at or past the safe point for birthing and must remain unbred. I have my rat legacy should anyone care to PM me on it. Vast majority of mine ended up pets, mind you. Mine stayed for awhile. Got companions from the store from time to time. They end up dying off one by one. At last there was only one, Levy. I take care of her. I love her even if she was never sure about me.
