RaV™
Isn't Jade Empire a few years old now? I could wipe the cobwebs off the game itself and my strategy guide for it.

RevanA4
Isn't Jade Empire a few years old now? I could wipe the cobwebs off the game itself and my strategy guide for it. its barley a year old. came out around this time last year if I remember right. still bioware initially had not plans to take it to pc. bah, who cares how old it is as long as it doesn't require Vista like a signifigant other Xbox port... *cough*Halo 2*cough* they are targeting a 1.8 p4 with 256MB of ram. and any gfx card that can handle shaders 1.1. RaV™
Oh it's barely old? Well I guess the game got old quick for me after beating it twice. To me it's just a hack and slash, but I might check it out, if they support mods and other things. That's the only reason why I bought the two KOTOR's for pc, because of the mods. Bob Lion54
This is cool. I've head so much about the game and always wanted to try it. Best news I've heard today!
Commander Obi-Wan
Sweet. I was on TV when it came out. My buudy and I were interviewed on our opinions of the game since one of the Biowares are here in my hometown of Edmonton.
Jeff
Sounds good! I prefer these kinds of games on PC and consequently I never played this one, so I'll have to check it out eventually.
RedHawke
I still need to finish it on Xbox, but I will definately get this for PC. And... Here's to hoping it has, or can use an 'override' folder!
mjpb3
Okay, for anyone's information... I heard a while ago that Jade Empire was VERY similar to Kotor 1 in your ability to mod it. Of course, being only for XBox turned a lot of folks away from trying. BUT I read on a VERY a prominent XBox modding site that Kotor Tool was easily used to mod some aspects of JE... so I am hoping that someone can come up with an easy way to mod JE for PC because I have literally been DYING to mod that puppy since it came out (which, incidentally was released April 14, 2005) If you can not tell I am a HUGE!!!! Jade Empire fan, but ever since beating the game (20 times) there has been a tremendous lull for me with it. Now, it turns out that it is being re-released for PC (modding!), I purchased a Sky card from Aimo @ aimostudios, AND a friend of mine is writing a story about JE... so my JE habit has had a resurgence! Yah Jade Empire! By the way, if I am not mistaken I think the release of the PC version is supposed to be around September of this year(?)

Darth InSidious
How mildly interesting this news is. For those outside the year 1936: Woohoo! Another form pseudo-hypnotically addictive entertainment to waste my time on
RaV™
The greatest thing about Jade Empire on the console was being able to do harmonic combos and blowing up your enemies or beheading them with a sword.

Pavlos
Hmm, Jade Empire is good - one of the only games I've ever played on a console (Mainly a PC gamer). But the biggest problem is that every ticky situation can be solved by jumping .

Ztalker
i've been waiting for this, SO long! The gameplay from Kotor, combined with Chinese martial arts! I just can't wait to play it. And although it has been a year, 'we' didn't complain about the graphics of Kotor1 and 2 either, and those look....far worse actually. And IF the Kotor tool works on this game too, i think the modding community can realy help making the game better then the X-Box version.
stoffe
I've not been disappointed by any Bioware made RPG I've played yet, so I will probably buy this game too when the PC version comes out. Doesn't matter to me if it's a year old, the age of a game rarely affects its quality. Seems to me that the graphics and world representation are the only things that are improving in games nowadays anyway. I often get games that are a few years old since by then my computer has usually caught up with the crazy hardware requirements most games have and I can play them with all graphic options enabled. (A bit funny that it takes a 1.9GHz AMD Athlon machine to play Deus Ex without any hickups with decent graphics settings. A game released when 400 MHz Pentium 2 was top-of-the-line. )
Jae Onasi
Here's to hoping it has, or can use an 'override' folder! From your lips to Bioware's ears.... We don't have an x-box at our home so we never got the game, but if it's half as fun as Kotor, we'll use up a lot of free time playing this one, too.
