milo Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 When does everybody (who is still in school) go back? I go back the 22nd. It's going to suck really bad. My schedule is so ****ed up, it's not even funny. I thought my senior year of high school was supposed to be easy, but it's going to be hell. Half of my classes won't even have an actual teacher in the room. But, if I stick to it, I'll graduate with about two and a half years of college credit-meaning I'll have an associates degree when I graduate.
Det. Bart Lasiter Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 Ahahaha. Have fun. I don't pick my classes until the 30th.
The Doctor Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 I don't go back to school for another two weeks. This year's gonna be great. Music class, Music Co-Op, Advanced Accounting, Introduction to International Business... Great year coming up.
Hallucination Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 I go back on the 5th. I would be a little more enthusiastic if I had more than one elective.
The Doctor Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 Sucks to be you, Hall - All of my courses are electives except two.
one_must_fall Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 I went back to school on the 7th. sucks to be me
Mav Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 I go back to do my 2nd year of college on the 28th, enjoy highschool while it lasts, I still miss it. My senior year of highschool I only had 4 classes, but they were all AP classes. Except 3 shouldn't have been AP , Psych is way too easy, and I suggest you take it in highschool, because I hear it is a lot harder in college. AP Biology would have been hard if I didn't have all the homeworks and tests from a girl who took it the year before me . Lastly AP English was a joke, the teacher had senioritis and gave everyone in the class an A for the year. I did have AP calculus though and that test slaughtered me, I only answered 2 of the 6 free response and the other 4 resulted in various drawings of my math teacher being devoured by a dinosaur... College is easier so far though, I don't have any classes until after noon
Davinq Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 I go back on the 5th, and frankly, I can't wait. My computer broke this summer (I'm using my dad's) So no KotOR for me all summer, I'm bored senseless
Jae Onasi Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 College is easier so far though, I don't have any classes until after noon Yeah, I can tell you're a sophomore. Freshmen take classes starting after 9am the first semester and after 10 the next. Sophomores never start before noon. Somewhere in the junior year they start picking earlier classes, until by the senior year you get up at 7, your first class is at 8am, and you're done by noon max so you have the rest of the day free.
REDJOHNNYMIKE Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 Uhmmm....yeah...when your sitting in your air conditioned classroom just be glad that you haven't graduated to the lovely world of not being able to use school as an excuse to get out of painting walls, crawling through mice infested attics, removing old plumbing (big tubes full of crap that weigh about 500lbs), carrying walls, working on roofs in 110 degree heat, working on roofs in snowstorms, working on roofs period, hanging cabinets precisely (very precisely), clearing out overgrowth around remodeling jobs (98% poison ivy), that hardwood floor that just has to be scrubbed instead of covered with carpet, either eating fast food every day or packing a lunch (do you know how easy it is to lose a packed lunch?), waiting till the last week to get working toilets, waiting till the last week to get a functioning air conditioner, 3 concrete trucks showing up at the same time (and then getting stuck in the yard just far enough away to make dumping the load into the footer impossible, wheelbarrows HOORAY!!!), rewiring a 90 year old house, breathing the air within 300 feet of a 90 year old house, trying to make sense of the house that someone's cousin was able to build cheaper.... yeah, school sucks:xp:
Jeff Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 We go back next thursday. I'm looking forward to going back actually, for a few reasons including so that football doubles will be over. I don't think this year will be too tough, I'm a senior and most of my classes don't look too bad.
REDJOHNNYMIKE Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 That's the spirit D-MO:D Use class to get out of exercise, brilliant!
Mav Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 Yeah, I can tell you're a sophomore. Freshmen take classes starting after 9am the first semester and after 10 the next. Sophomores never start before noon. Somewhere in the junior year they start picking earlier classes, until by the senior year you get up at 7, your first class is at 8am, and you're done by noon max so you have the rest of the day free. Actually, I usually get up at 5-6 a.m. at the least 3-4 days of the week. I'm an Aeronautical Science major so I have flight course mixed in with academics and weather for flying is a lot better in the morning, less bumpy. You are right about one thing though, first semester of freshman year I had an 8 o'clock class... calc, I never made it to class, I only went on test days and always turned in my homework at the end of the week during my prof's office hours I still got an A too, I'll never know how I did it. Then second semester my earliest class was 10 a.m.
stingerhs Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 well, i have a good schedule this time around. my earliest class is @ 10:30am TTh and my latest class lets out @ 3:25pm MWF which gives me plenty of time to take care of things in the evening. my classes start on the 8/21, so i get to go back fairly early. the plus side is that my finals are the first week of December. and in case you're wondering, i'm one of those people that loves to pack my classes together so i have time to do everything else without 'dead' time between classes.
Diego Varen Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 I go back the 6th September, but that was because I broke up on the 21st July.
Ztalker Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 Seventeen days from now, the third of September, i'll be starting my career as a teacher...with a very neat introduction. Just hanging around the city a bit, sightseeing, fun, etc etc. After that, the real stuff begins... And yes, the worst English-speaking guy on this forum is becoming a teacher!
chubbslegend Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 I have the easiest year of my life, im doing an extra year that most people opt to skip but im not because you do absolutely nothing and i really need a lazy year!
DarthXilon123 Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 I get back it might be the 5th or the 7th around there. Some years school rocks and sometimes sucks badly but this year is gonna be hopefully a great year!!!! I hope that it won't take a long year but hopefully it's gonna be fine.
Commander Obi-Wan Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 I go back the same time as Hall. I don't mind going back, it cuts my work schedule in half, which is sorta helpful, since my job is boring. Though, I only have one elective, which is German.
igyman Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 Hah. Lucky me, college doesn't start 'till October, so I have more than a month of rest, relaxation and extreme lazyness.
Maverick5770 Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 I go back on the 6th, my frigin birthday. Talk about a birthday present from hell.
Boba Rhett Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 I go the 22nd to teach a lab. My real classes start on the 23rd.
