Ok, inspired of my own thread greatest game villian. What do you think are the greatest game ending. My would be PS: Torment and the DS ending of Kotor

PS:Torment, i just love the ending when you merge with you mortality, and the speach you have to you party members after it, actualy the hole ending with the party members been taked out, one by one when trying to defend you. Then the end intro, when you picking up that club or whatever it is

Kotor DS ending, think most have seen it, so i skip the explanation

None. The ending means that the fun game you've just played is over, there's nothing great about that. :) (And if it wasn't fun I wouldn't have played that far anyway.) For that reason the ending of games I play and movies I watch always feel a little anticlimactic, no matter how "good" they otherwise are.

In that respect cliffhanger endings are better than definite ones, since they promise more to come. :)

My favorite Endings? I got a few:

Battletanx(n64)

-A disese takes over the planet, then you become king of it? Awsome!

Halo: Combat Evolved (PC/XBX)

-Awsome Cliffhanger from a game that Gives you nothing from the beginning, and leaves you with nothing at the end.

Half-Life 2 (PC/XBX)

-Well thought out cliffhanger that makes you want to wring Gmans Neck for answers

-Game Ends in a big explosion!

Half-Life: Aftermath

-More Unanswered Questions...

-Game ends in a big explosion!

Kotor's: Lightside Ending

Super Mario (NES)

Is this game neverending or what?

And on the opposite side of the spectrum, My least favorite endings!

Halo 2

-My thoughts as I finished the game:

"WTF?..."

biggest lettdown for a game EVER.

Kotor 2

"All right, I never should have finished the game..."

Dead Or Alive Xtreme beach Volleyball (XBX):

"Wait, weres the game?"

Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines, any ending;

Most of the endings where just ok, but the Brujah* ending with Jack. Now that one rocked. Probably the only time I have ever actually yelled "YES" while watching an ending. It was perfect!

None. The ending means that the fun game you've just played is over, there's nothing great about that. :)

Well, yea. I agree to a point. However, some endings just stick with you. For instance, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time ending. Its pure perfection. Its hard to explain the feeling I had the first time I watched it, but its still with me. The game was epic and the ending reflected that. The ending was Magic.

Seeing Link and Zelda come full circle was great. All the more so because of the music. I can't really describe it, but watching the ending definitely had an emotional impact that I still remember today. The closest thing I can relate it to is reading the end of a good book.

*I probably spelled that wrong. Its been a while since I played.

I once played through DRIV3R (which is no easy task seeing as I don't own an Xbox letalone the game) and I finally got the end AND THE XBOX SCREWS UP RIGHT AT THAT MOMENT!! every time I reload that bit it doesn't work.

Also, I like the ending of HALO on Legendary. With Sergeant Johnson and the Elite.

And yes, the Keen game endings are pretty cool.

I can't think of any ending I enjoyed save for one. And you might say I'm a bit sensitive but the ending to Final Fantasy X nearly brought a tear to my eye. The story was deep, immersive, and something many of us can relate to. A father we have nothing but hatred for, A loved one lost, and a constant fight with a 'stuck' reality. I've replayed that game probably 10 times since I bought it and I always sit and watch the ending. And of course, the ending of Revenge of the Sith (ps2) level 17. Vader takes his place as the true Lord of the Sith! Whats not to like?!

All three of Deus Ex's endings were awesome, though I'm more for the Helios merger ending.

Deus Ex: Invisible War's ApostleCorp ending was cool, because it was different from all the rest.

Apart from these, the endings of Golden Sun 1 and 2 were great and oddly satisfying.

And er, well, The Sims

*Steals Emperor Devon's Sith Shield Talisman*

It zaps your hand with 100K points of Force Lightning damage! All RedHawke's Sith Talismans come with a viscious security system! :xp: -RH
