Rabish Bini
I can't believe that only 6 out of 27 said that they want Kotor 3. *Shakes head in shame* Anyways: -Kotor 3 -Halo 3 -Call of duty 4 (If ever, otherwise, 3) All of these are what I mainly want when I get my Xbox 360. Emperor Devon
There's no news at this time on K3. I wish! --Jae ...other than a statement by LA's VP that there'd be more to the KotOR series. For me... KotOR III Jade Empire - It's always an upgrade when a game moves from a console to PC. Mass Effect - For PC, hopefully. I'd like to avoid spending several hundred $$$ on a console for one game, if I can. They usually don't last long, and can be expensive. (I've not touched my Xbox in years. Mainly a waste of money. I'd hate to have to spend even more on a 360.) Dragon Age - Anything by BioWare is worth getting. NWN 2 expansion packs - I agree with Jae on that. BioWare released tons of great content for NWN years after it was first sold. I boycott any game that's released for X-Box and/or Win Vista only. I despise that kind of marketing practices and will protest them with the only way I can - the wallet. I don't like it either, but I won't make a difference by boycotting it - or at least, not a significant one. I wouldn't like to get a 360, but missing out on all the games for it would be worse. Yes, it is a greedy, customer-unfriendly tactic, but hey - that's capitalism. Microsoft's in business to get as much money as they can, not to make people happy. Oh, the Drow's an unexpected change from your usual white-haired, pale-skinned humans.
Lynk Former
@Stoffe, Huh? I won't say microsoft is the bright'n'shiny hero type, but at least they're breaking sony's lock on exclusive games. Yeah they are, Microsoft had the right idea releasing ahead of Sony, the sheer numbers of 360's out there as well as Gears of War being released at the right time has given them a great advantage over Sony at this point. To make matters worse for Sony, the PS3 is off to a slow start and it's not picking up enough speed. However it's not Microsoft who is hurting Sony where it counts, it's Nintendo. While Microsoft has ensured the the Americans, Europeans and Australians (and others) are enjoying a 360, Nintendo is ensuring with Wii and the DS, that the PS3 has no room, at this point at least, to flourish. Add to that the heavy launch competition between Sony and Nintendo with Nintendo coming out on top and Microsoft's strong 360 sales in the last quarter of 2006, they've got Sony by the balls now. Of course this is now... who knows what will happen then... even with many developers switching from Sony exclusivity for their graphics intensive games to cross platform PS3/Xbox360 games, and in some very rare cases, Xbox360 exclusive or cancelled PS3 games, Sony still has A LOT going for it and it's gonna take a lot of harder hits to take it down even a peg like I know quite a lot of you are hoping for. But just remember, at this point, even if the PS3 doesn't seem like a threat, Sony still has the fires of the PS2 burning brightly... it will continue to burn brightly for a couple more years, enough time for Sony to recover from the small mistakes they've made so far which look huge to us from a distance. Bob Lion54
Here is my list: Mass Effect (PC version)- The Game looks awesome. Bioware FTW! Assassins Creed- This has a great opportunity to be very different from any other game. Dragon Age- Bioware. Period. Jade Empire (PC version)- Haven't played it yet, but I've heard too many good things about it. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic III is the game I want the most. Though when it will be made is anyones guess. Right now, I'd settle for news of a developer. Star Trek: Online (tentative title/MMO) - You get to be the captain of your own ship... Even the Galaxy class (Enterprise D) and the Sovereign Class (Enterprise E)... It has amazing potential to be awesome. It might be terrible too, which is my fear, but heres to hoping. Another game I'd love to see, which is supposedly being worked on, is Fallout 3. This game has had so many rumors and false starts, but it seems someone will make it sometime... Another Vampire: the Masquerade game is high on my "want list." Sadly, it doesn't seem likely. One can hope, though... One can hope...

Perpetual have schedueled a massive media release in the next few months as no substantial news/media has been released for roughly a year now. Astrotoy7
I haven't seen any games that are XP only, at least judging by the system requirements specified, so I wouldn't know about that. And games that are XP-only likely aren't used by Microsoft as a method to strong-arm people into buying Win XP by now anyway. c'mon stoffe I just pulled my NWN2 LimEd box - its specs say Required: Windows XP Required: Direct X 9.0c or higher Required: Windows XP compatible Sound Card meaning, you cant play this without an Microsoft(XP) based PC. (*Im not sure if anyone has tried installing it in 2000 ... though I can imagine the game would spout an incompatibility error messages in installation quite quickly) Strong arm or not, if you really want to play NWN2 properly, you need that OS and all the hardware that goes with it. How many people have upgraded their PC, keeping in mind that they want to be able to play specific titles. I definitely had NWN2(and a few others) in mind when I built my gaming PC a few months ago. Even though it doesnt have a "windows exclusive" sticker on it, it's still what it is (It does specify it in the rec specs though) If MS had put a colourful "WINDOWS PC EXCLUSIVE!!" sticker on NWN2 - would you have bought it ?? Whether or not it makes it to Mac later - it definitely is a windows exclusive for now. Just like 'Gears of War', 'Jade Empire'(for now) etc for the XB/360 Vista may or may not market games like that...it's unlikely for the initial stages. Given the huge incongruity in software and hardware setups gamers around the world have, a windows vista dx10 specific title will only be accessible to a relatively small amount of people, and not be a great seller at all as a result. This hardware incongruity doesnt exist in the console world of course. I can see MS promoting DX10 in some way, but without making a title entirely inaccessible to DX9 users with decent specs. It's a natural progression, eventually - devs will be writing games just for DX10, just like they do with DX9 now. It's merely utilising the best tools to make (hopefully) better games It's just marketing - theyre business entities trying to make money after all, not benevolent organisations trying to provide a public service "Gotta get that money, dollar dollar bill y'all !!" - Wu Tang Financial mtfbwya
