Darth Smaug
What do you like more? A Nintendo Wii or a Playstation 3? Me, i like Wii more, i always liked Nintendo systems more than Playstation. I think Playstations are really overrated and Nintendo systems underrated. I think the Wii is more fun and better than a PS3. What do you like? Darth Smaug
PS3.. Wii is for little kids.. - Ghost Down Yeah right, remember almost every thing from the D-Pad to the Rumble Feature originally came from Nintendo. Are games like Zelda and Red Steel really for kids? Suuure.
Diego Varen
PS3. I've always preffered Sony and if anything, Nintendo are really overrated and Sony are underrated. Hell, the PS3 hadn't even been released and people were being harsh to it.
Hallucination
There's a reason I call the PS3 the Plagiarise Station 3, and it's not because I like it.
spinkle
Wii, because gaming is for little kids...and I am one \o/ (...mentally) PS3 is definitely "overrated"--which, in this context, means "overpriced and currently unable to deliver on its promises." I'll give Sony one thing to their credit, though...by vastly overpricing the PS3 and keeping the game selection extraordinarily small, they've done a great job turning people who aren't completely insane and/or rabid about having the NEWESTGREATESTFASTESTBESTSYSTEM towards the Wii and XBOX360 while at the same time keeping the sales of the PS2 Slims nice and steady. (maybe the continued viablity of the PS2 was part of their reasoning for the PS3 debacle?) Perhaps in the near or at least not-so-distant future the PS3 will become a reasonable gaming choice, but I don't see that happening until many many pricepoint drops from now. (I still consider the XBOX360 overpriced, btw) Gaming is supposed to be fun and entertaining, not financially worrisome. Granted, I'm a bit of a Nintendo fanboy...but it says a lot about Nintendo as a whole that I've never needed to seek gaming satisfaction from another company. Commander Obi-Wan
Out of the two suggested, I'd say the Wii. For one, I have one. Second of all, it's much more affordable. Third of all, the game selection is far-superior to the PS3. It also depends what you want more. Do you want the PS3 with astounding graphics or do want the Wii which has incredible gameplay? Pick your choice. I'd rather have the Wii. I, myself, had a Playstation 2. It was a fun system, some of the games are exclusive purely to Sony, that I wish were available to the Wii or the Xbox 360. But, what can you do? But, I converted to the Nintendo Wii, for reasons stated above. I also bought an Xbox 360, in which I feel, has graphics that are quite stunning, and the gameplay has is spectacular. So, it's quite clear that I'd vote for the Wii. Negative Sun
PS3 on the sole count that Metal Gear Solid 4 will be for the PS3 and I love the Metal Gear Solid series. Just wait a Wii while Sony are losing pretty much all their exclusives, it won't be too long before MGS goes multi-platform as well, trust me... Wii for me, because it incorporates everything gaming should be about, whether it be fun, innovation or simply good games, the Wii has it all... Mike Windu
Right now, neither. Wii still has rather lacklustre 3rd party support, and PS3 has no must have games either.
John Galt
NEITHER. the PS3 is extremely expensive, and there are really no good games for it right now. The Wii is cheaper, but it is(IMHO) really only good for sports games. I really like my Xbox 360, but my Wii is getting sold some time in the near future. Det. Bart Lasiter
Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii I'm not shelling out the cash for a PS3 and all the games I've played on PS3 have been ****. I may get a 360 too, but until the PS3 gets a lot cheaper and has some decent games put out on it (which may happen long after the Wii gets more games worth buying seeing as the PS3 dev kit is 20k and the Wii dev kit is ~$1700), I'm not even considering it. REDJOHNNYMIKE
Wii has had some okay stuff. I have a 360 and easy access to a Wii, so I'm probably not going to buy it. Trauma Center is the only game that I've derived true enjoyment from though. The local gaming center just got a ps3, so if it ever does get some good games I'll play them there and then forget about the system the next day. Resistance for the PS3 is overrated IMO, it's like a silly mix of Call of Duty and Half Life, and at least in that game the PS3 seems to run a lot more choppy than the 360. Da_man
I have a PS2 and a Wii. I like the wii because you need to move the controller rather than push buttons. I like my PS2 and is capable of everything the PS3 is doing. They both have the same graphics driver, and, if my sources don't decieve me, the PS3 can't play Guitar hero 2 because there's nowhere to plug the cool controller into. True_Avery
PS3 is too expensive, and like all PlayStations it will take a couple years for any of their games to get good. Wii is a neat concept, but I barely played my other Nintendo stuff so not much hope for it imo. Maybe in a few years they will have the games I'd like to play for it. But, then again, it seems to be more of a party game system and I am not too much for party gaming. I have an Xbox 360 and I play it, and my Playstation 2 all the time. Great fun. Out of the two, neither because I have no plans to get either. Mostly because a lot of Sony's name titles shall share space with 360.

mimartin
When the lightsaber game Char Ell posted about in The Outlander Club comes out I will consider getting the Wii. Till then I’ll be satisfied with my PC, PSP and Xbox
Lynk Former
@ Darth Smaug: If you're interested in both the PS3 and Wii, I suggest you get the Wii now since it's the cheaper of the two. It has a few good games worth buying, and a lot of good games to buy if you like variety. Now for the PS3, you'll have to step back and ask yourself what kind of games you like more, cause it may turn out that the Xbox360 has more of the kind of games you like. Either way, if you really want it, you'll get it despite what we say lol. Just make sure you have the money to spend in the first place. @ Ghost Down: XD Great arguement. I guess No More Heroes is coming out for the PS3 and 360 instead of Wii now cause Wii is too kiddy? Oh wait, it isn't, it's exclusive to Wii. @ Topsite: People has been giving Nintendo crap for far longer. But in the case of PS3 and Wii, I thought both consoles got plenty of crap from people before they were released. Things changed at E3 2006 when people finally got to play Wii though. All along the way the 360 was looking extremely good and Microsoft was loving every second of it though XD @ spinkle: All the PS3 needs is a bunch of really good games. @ steven: Yeah, I want MGS4 too... just not a PS3 lol. I'll find a way to play it without having to buy one like I did with every other MGS game XD @ John Galt: Try playing something other than Wii Sports lol kidding @ mimartin: I wouldn't hold your breath... I mean, it'll come, but I doubt it'll be THAT good. Also to everyone else who says there are to few good games for Wii. Seriously, you really don't have to wait that long. Developers got caught off guard with Wii but a lot of them are rushing to get their games released for it. Right now they're trying to fill the void with ports but I guarantee by the end of the year you'll start seeing developers releasing or about to release their top games. Same thing happened with the DS and now great DS games are being released every couple of months.

Right now they're trying to fill the void with ports but I guarantee by the end of the year you'll start seeing developers releasing or about to release their top games. One can only hope, but it's been really hard for devs to shell out even basic ports of the same games that appear on 360 and PS3 so far. I'm just feeling that waiting is better especially since it is still expensive (not compared to the others, but 250 is a lot to drop on a system that only has a couple games I'd play right now anyway. Zelda, Trauma Center...) Only time will tell for any of these systems. The PS3 isn't doing as bad as it was so there's definite potential. They need to recover before 360 drops the Hiroshimaesque Halo 3 bomb on them though. That'll hurt like hell if they don't have anything to fight it. True_Avery
Twilight Princess. ... is on Gamecube as well. And I only played about 5 games on my Gamecube from the time I bought it, to very recently when I sold it for my 360. Same goes for my Nintendo 64, and the handhelds. But, I will say that the few Nintendo games I did play were a lot of fun, but not worth an expensive system for how few games I would personally like to play on it. Also to everyone else who says there are to few good games for Wii. Seriously, you really don't have to wait that long. Right now they're trying to fill the void with ports but I guarantee by the end of the year you'll start seeing developers releasing or about to release their top games. Like all systems before it, it takes about a good 3 years of being out before a system -really- is worth the money you pay for it. When PS2 first came out, it was not exactly what everybody was hoping it would be and the reviews were less than good. But now, years later, I love my PS2 over any other system on the market today. Felt the same about my original Xbox before it had trouble working, but luckily I got money for it when I sold it for the new generation. No rush for games really. It will be around another 5 to 8 years before the next generation of system is out, and in that the opinion of the systems could change drastically. Lynk Former
It takes 3 years if you're really tight about what kind of games you play... it take 1 or even less if you're a little more open to trying new things. And I think that's the state of mind everyone will need with Wii.., Cause if you don't have it then there's probably no point in buying one in the first place, the PS3 or Xbox360 would be a better and safer choice. stingerhs
Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition should be enough to convince anybody that the Wii is the superior console. the PS3 has one advantage: graphics. otherwise, the Wii is the clear winner, especially given Nintendo's track record of great consoles. DrPhil2501
Easy question: PS3 is better, because the crap Wii doesn't even play DVD's. However, the 360 is what interests me at the moment. Plus, the Wii has the lowest memory of the three new consoles, which I am implying that is pretty s***.
