jonathan7 Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 Perhaps some small Gradients on the sides in the Alpha channel might help to make its less a HARD cut. Or, hmmmz, CM_Bright might give this extra stronger glow, IIRC it does that. Though I could be wrong. Anyway, looks ACE Doc ! Man, if all our mods are going to get released K1 and TSL will be flooded with new build areas to explore What a prospect to look out to ! Out of interest; have you guys figured out the wall clipping issue that's present indoors in Q's temple mod?
Sithspecter Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 No. Believe me, I've tried a lot. It's the one thing that I want to crack next to Revan's animations. It appears that MDLOps is missing some fields, and that's just something we can't get around. Yet.

All good ideas, the only issue is, it isn't a plane, it's a cylinder, so I cannot affect the sides of the beam with gradient. However, if I affect the gradient I have on the alpha that gives it the falloff effect, I can make it a little less intense and perhaps a bit more beam-like. I have also affected it so that it comes to a point, maybe that will make things a little nicer. -Doc

You might can take a lightsaber blade model, and scale it up and switch textures to make it look more like a beam, or an emitter might could work out too.
whatthehell Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 so Doc, your the lord of terror now? lol you like your names huh? this mod is comin along nicely hehe
TheProphet Posted July 20, 2008 Author Posted July 20, 2008 Okay everyone, I have some more pictures and a HUGE update. Here are the pictures of the Main Hall area of the Malkazi Temple: This is the main corridor leading to the exit/enterance elevator: This is a closeup of the stairs: And this is the main room that connects the two Cryogenic Chambers: As for the update, we are nearing the completion of the first section of the mod! Now what that means is that in short time I will be putting up a Video Update. For those of you who haven't seen them before they are quite fun. Also, with the first section finished, it will be time for us to release the DEMO! Huzzah! I have been waiting to say that forever ^_^. Anyways, once I get all of that stuff done I will do a major update to the website. That way you can access all the new fun things. -Doc

Lord2 Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 I followed this project for some time now, and it's getting more and more interesting. Now it's time for me to offer my help (if needed), because I really want to see this mod finished. I'm not that much into modding and such, but though I can do: * Story Refinement (Have worked on several scripts, and improved them. I'm sure I can offer you SOME at least.) * Beta Testing (Have DSL connection, 24 mbit/s and 95% always connected. So it's easy to reach me through email and so on..) * Voice Acting (Not a professional, but I've some equipment and tricks - so you won't hear much noise or rumble). Here's a sample: http://www.freewebs.com/tpiom/Normal%20Voice.mp3 "Star Wars is an epic franchise initially conceived by George Lucas during the 1970s. The first film in the franchise was simply titled Star Wars, but later had the subtitle Episode IV A New Hope added to distinguish it from its sequels and prequels.."
