Pho3nix
why do you say that? i didn't say that games are bad or that they need to be censored or something. i said that i didn't really like all the sexual content that they're promoting in the trailers, and it turned me off from the game. putting me in the same boat as Hillary and ol' Jack?? for shame. Indeed, though my reply wasn't just directed towards your post. I was just surprised by the comments since I've heard nothing but praise for the GTA-series. yep. that would be why i play Forza 2 while listening to my iPod. don't need a GTA game for me to do that. True, good point. But GTA combines those two with guns! I guess it just appeals to me, but not for everyone of course. it is in a way, but if you think about it, you're still not doing what you want to do. the "freedom" is all fun and good until you realize that nothing is really changing around you aside from how the cops and gangs react to you no matter how many times you shoot up a neighborhood or take part in the Firefighter/EMS/Vigilante side missions. Correct, but for some reason I never get tired of it. I still play Vice City and San Andreas even though I've completed the missions
Achilles
Whats this Grand Theft Auto anyway ? Some type of racing car game?? mtfbwya It's debauchery on a stick. Correct, but for some reason I never get tired of it. I still play Vice City and San Andreas even though I've completed the missions I like parking my car on the freeway then lobbing maltov cocktails into the resulting 57 car pile-up. Sure I get a lot of stars, but the explosions make me giggle.
DarthJebus05
I'd add the dialogs: Still sharp. And have you noticed that's somewhat more difficult to to make turns at a medium speed? Of course The only thing I don't like about the realism touch to it, is that it would be impossible to take on the army like in San Andreas. adamqd
It's early days yet, 360 users have got whats left of there save game, plus at least another 10 hrs content from xbox live, plenty of time for takin on the army First impression, It's still got what I love from the previous titles, and the new stuff I have no problem with, I'm enjoying it. Lance Monance
Waiting for the PC-Version. Well, I didn't like Vice city and San Andreas all that much but I gotta check the new one out.
HerbieZ
I have been playing for 11 hours now. It's great but incredibly overhyped, most of the new aspects just remind me of Saints Row which i am actually looking forward to the sequel of now i've played a little GTA. Just does'nt feel the same as the old school engine for me which is a shame, still ace though.
Hayden Kered
Nope, I have no interest in this game. Of course that's just me.
JD-Rom
Still waiting for the release here, (What? 3rd-world here, hello...) although now I doubt I'd buy the game soon. It just doesn't seem to have much of what I like in a game. (First-Person perspective, Self-Preservation, Money, Sci-fi, Fantasy, Roleplay, Weapons, No Annoying Escort Missions ...you know, mostly like Oblivion. ) Still, I might think about it... Ctrl Alt Del
Well, I've rented it (I said I wasn't goingh to buy it immediatly) and I've liked it a lot. I may even end up buying it, but later as I said. After all, I've got my priorities. Still waiting for the release here, (What? 3rd-world here, hello...) although now I doubt I'd buy the game soon. Really? it got here on the same day it was released on the US. I thought it a worldwide release.

Astrotoy7
Don't worry about it Grandpa, I'll get your pipe and some slippers so you can puff away in your rocking chair on the porch well, as long as the porch has somewhere I can plug my x2@3.0,4GBDDR2,x64,30"@1600p into, then thats fine, young whippersnapper cmon, I played the very first GTA, with its shockin top down gfx...ah, those were the days.. cant say Im into these type of 'tear the moral fabric of society' games... the most recent thing I played that was similar was Scarface, and while visually it wasnt stunning, made up for it in nostalgia factor. It was also cool how they maintained Tony Montana's creedo about not hurting innocent bystanders.... he even used to say "dats not cool mang" if you tried to smack a kid walkin down the street, even though he may have deserved it, you know what kids are like these days... mtfbwya

Aash Li
Id like it if the games just stopped getting made... Note that Im not saying they should get banned or something. Its a free country they have a right to produce slop like the rest of Americans if they want to. I dont like games that glorify stuff that is wrong with this country. Also, I heard (hearsay, dont take my word for it), theres cop-killing in this version... >.> Having several family members who have served in various services - as well as a good majority of them being military vertrans or currently serving - I find that rather offensive. Yes, I know its just a game, but thats irrelevant.

Da_man
Not gonna buy it, partly cuz my parents are never gonna let me get it unless I move out to college, and I have no desire to kick a$$ when Halo 3 serves that purpose just fine. (plus ambulance personal killing, firemen killing... ) Though the cops portrait in the game are more Trigger happy( and corrupt) then they would be in real life. Cygnus Q'ol
I feel like two-face in Batman. I can see the strength in both arguments over the subject matter of this game. This game doesn't just allow graphic violence, unprotected sex and sleazy, ghetto thinking, it actually requires it. I feel for all of those innocent, young minds, with no clue what-so-ever, that will be forced to adapt to a very nasty, violent, emotionally shallow and respect-free world where the nastier you can think, the better you'll succeed. (Insert Parenting Principals Here) That being said, as an adult who's seen some nasty things in my lifetime, I can mentally separate the hysterically funny, cold-hearted realism in this game from reality and enjoy it as just that... A VIDEO GAME ! I wish everyone could. If only there was some way to really restrict it to adults. This is a very well done game. Very polished. Driving has improved slightly and the shooter mode is so much better. They went out of their way on design and their attention to detail is unmatched both visually and aurally. Too early to rate the story, but it's doing very well, so far. Dispite the dipute, it's actually very fun to play. Keep out of reach of children, grandparents, clergy, nuns, hookers...
