Shem Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 I just thought I would let you all know that my wife and I are expecting our first child. My wife is 14 weeks along. The picture you see is around two weeks ago. I wanted to wait until my wife started her second trimester before saying anything as the first time she got pregnant, she miscarried after 6 weeks.
adamqd Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Hope everything runs smooth, and the Baby and Mother Stay healthy! /hi5
Samuel Dravis Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Congrats Shem! Time to lay plans for the eventual takeover of the world?
Spadille Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Congrats man! That's wonderful news! Best of wishes!
Trench Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Congrats Shem! K'oyacyi! May the baby be healthy, and as geeky as his/her dad.
Astor Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Congratulations! All the best wishes that you and your wife have a healthy baby!
Prime Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Congratulations, Shem! You are going to love it. It can be tiring at first, but it gets better. Right now my kids (4 and 2) are an absolute riot. Great news, man.
Jae Onasi Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Looks like a little demon child on the ultrasound. Congrats to you both, and best wishes for an uneventful pregnancy and delivery. I'll add you guys to our prayer list. Remember, the only breathing pattern she has to learn is 'epidural'. There are no Hero Points for suffering during labor, and that's coming from someone who tried her darnedest to do things 'natural' the first time around. I embraced medical technology in its finest the second time around and it was a much better experience.
Q Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 The best to you, your wife and your child. Congratulations!
Shem Posted January 29, 2010 Author Posted January 29, 2010 Thanks guys! My wife is now starting to show a little bit: Looks like a little demon child on the ultrasound. Those are actually the baby's arms by the head. He/she was stretching when the picture was taken.
Q Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Aw, look at that. Your wife is lovely. You're a lucky guy.
Lynk Former Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Oh noes, I think your wife may be giving birth to a Kakuna!
Jae Onasi Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Oh, I figured that was an arn instead of a pointy ear, but I was sassy and couldn't resist teasing just a little, Shem. Your wife is just lovely, and the little baby belly is just major-cute.
Q Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Oh noes, I think your wife may be giving birth to a Kakuna! Didn't Geena Davis give birth to something like that in The Fly?
ZimmMaster Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Congrats Shem. Be sure to get plenty of sleep while you still can.
Tobias Reiper Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Congratulations, Shemmy! But, like with all ultrasounds, it looks messed up, and I must comment on it: That thing looks like a half bird, half human. Am I the only one that sees it? Well anyway, got any ideas for names?
deathdisco Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Congratulations! Like Prime said it a bit rough in the beginning but it's totally worth it. Good luck.
jonathan7 Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Congratulations Shemeybaby! If it's a boy I think you should call it Jonathan
Litofsky Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Congratulations, Shem! Enjoy the sleepless nights and subsequent irregular sleep patters, and changing dirty diapers.
Ping Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 Congrats, Shem. Best wishes to you and your wife.
Jae Onasi Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 Shem obviously didn't need to visit the Food Talk thread.
