There's so much cross-fading going on - not only as variations in the same track, but also when new cues start playing. Short of an official release, we'll definitely need a music rip from the game files to construct a clean tracklist. I hope someone can come up with the necessary tool (the Thimbleweed Park tools don't work, I checked). Thimbleweed Park tools didn't work for me, either. Edited September 23, 2022 by MurraySkull
KestrelPi Posted September 23, 2022 Posted September 23, 2022 (edited) Although we are used to ripping out the soundtrack files in order to get at Monkey Island music because historically they have a SUPER bad record at releasing soundtracks for them, I actually think it could happen in this case, especially if we ask for it. I'd really like for it to happen at least Edited September 23, 2022 by KestrelPi just in case some comments could be considered spoilers

What's the point of having a Pulitzer if you don't use its prestige to become a spokesperson for people's needs?

Laserschwert Posted September 23, 2022 Posted September 23, 2022 Well, if I'm not mistaken, you can even swap them out WHILE running the game. So in theory, you could just have a bunch of subfolders to move save-files in and out of. But sure, more pages on the save screen would make this much easier (and better).

Sure, but if someone has to get to that point I'd say that this is inherently a poor design choice 😛 1

MurraySkull Posted September 26, 2022 Posted September 26, 2022 Well, I was able to get into the files via a recent build of Thimbleweed Park Explorer I compiled, and I am convinced the music is in this file: https://www.mediafire.com/file/22ji6dujpqr1l9u/Music.assets.bank/file This file may have something to do with it as well: https://www.mediafire.com/file/z8jpypznmz7gexa/Music.bank/file
Benny Posted September 26, 2022 Posted September 26, 2022 We've been updating TP Explorer to add support for ReMI but its still a work in progress. Proper music dumping will come in the next release, I have it working manually but I done the code to do it automatically yet. 4 3
Lagomorph01 Posted October 1, 2022 Posted October 1, 2022 I never thought I’d see Monkey Island mentioned in the A.D. (a big Dutch newspaper), but here it is! The headline reads: The comeback of the century 3 1
Scummbuddy Posted October 2, 2022 Posted October 2, 2022 Anyone else still here in "I haven't been able to play it yet" land?
Niemandswasser Posted October 3, 2022 Posted October 3, 2022 I've been able to start, but I'm coordinating times where I can play with someone else so it's slow going. I'd say I'm probably only halfway through.

Al.DeHyde Posted October 3, 2022 Posted October 3, 2022 I'm in "I haven't been able to finish it yet" land due to having a 2-year-old. 1

Scummbuddy Posted October 3, 2022 Posted October 3, 2022 @BaronGrackle Oh, I've got it on PC (with horse armor) but like @Al.DeHyde I have a 6 month old. 2
BaronGrackle Posted October 3, 2022 Posted October 3, 2022 Well, God bless you guys. And some day, you'll be able to indoctrinate those little ones with your favorite media as I do with mine now! (But my wife doesn't always help. She's poisoned them on Back to the Future 3, but someday... 😆) 2

I'm playing the game with my girlfriend and it's a busy time for us, so it's hard to find some time to play together stress free. Also we're taking our time with it, exploring, asking people everything, examining everything we can, trying different stuff even though we know it won't work but surely there must be some funny dialogue there etc... all this with the more dialogue option turned on. With all that in mind, we've started the game one week ago and we just started part 2.

Scummbuddy Posted October 3, 2022 Posted October 3, 2022 As Doc Brown is a student of all sciences, I'm a student of all BTTF parts. And thank you. When the time is right, I'm all set to show her the Humongous titles I've never played and from there we'll try some Lucas titles and explore worlds. 1 1
