I once actually made a poll similar to this, and I got flamed to hell and back for it. Thanks guys.

 

I rarely vote in polls, just post my opinion instead of narrowing my views down to 4 preset ones. The heck with that.

 

Forget about polls. Make real topics instead. It's not like you can get a satisfactory result out of the few people here. We need at least 50 people to vote.

 

Screw the polls :)

the annoying ones that have been reposted 100 thousand times such as "who is the coolest star wars character" "what is the coolest star ship" "which star wars movie is your favorite(i cant even count how many times ive seen this one) etc etc etc

 

 

im tired of seeing these tyes of polls, waste of bandwith for the server...now, interesting ones i dont mind...

I think that polls are good when good info and options are in them. I think that they other polls that are confusing as hell are just a waste of space and some person trying to just make themselves noticible. If the poll has a good purpose. But if it has a dumb one then I say burn the sucker. :D

People keep saying "I hate polls" "I hate the game threads" ETC ETC... If you dont like it leave. Everything goes hand-in-hand to make the message board what it is. You must realize to have one you must have the other.

I really thought about putting YODA on there but I wanted some answers and not just everyone to reply YODA! :)

 

As far as why I posted a POLL about who is tired of people posting POLLS. I was pretty much being a smart ass. Just having fun with it. I like polls...but not when EVERYTHING is a poll. And I think some topics could actually do without a poll. Such as...what's your favorite show. There's so many options and so many countries...why limit it to a poll. Just let people post and discuss. Just my two cents. And no I did not think posting this and complaining about them would make a difference just wanted to see what the majority thought of some people going around creating polls just to create polls. I have no mind for them if they are interesting and not like someone said

Yeah, I'm sick of stupid polls but as long as they got "Yoda" in 'em, I'm fine with it. :)

Now hear this. All these threads that people are posting such as, "I hate Polls", "This place Sucks", "I'm leaving" Etc. Etc. What is the motive here?

 

Do you:

 

A: Just want to see how many people agree with you, and your complaints?

 

Or:

 

B: Do you really want to make a difference?

 

 

If your answer is A, then this thread has servered it's purpose, nuff said.

 

If your answer is B then this thread has not served it's purpose and this thread is only contributing to the problem.

 

If your answer is B there is only one solution. Let The LFJA take charge! I am not familiar with LFJA Groovy. The answer is both A and B. I wanted to see if everyone agree's that people are just posting polls to be posting polls or if they felt that the polls were meaningful and a contributing part to the swamp. I personally was getting tired of the polls that seemed redundant with few responses etc and tired of seeing the whats your favorite tv show polls over and over again. Yes I know bitch moan and groan. I am not really complaining - I can yes skip over these blah blah. I was just hoping that maybe some would read this and realise...hey some people don't appreciate the over-use of polls on the forum. Maybe they will either be more creative or they will ignore...but I really don't see as many polls today as I did last night...so maybe it worked.
