Darklighter
I must clarify first of all, that this is in no way intended to be spam or anything of the kind. I just wish to get some people's opinions on a topic that has been brought up many times. Lately there have been a mixture of a good topic, worthy of discussion based threads being overshadowed by pointless 'demanding one answer' question threads. It just got me thinking. Why do you post threads? What do you want to get out of it? Is it because you are interested in finding out what each person has to say? Is it out of boredom? An attempt to gain popularity? To get a higher post/point count ()? What are your reasons?
Skate Boy
I don't really post threads, I've posted about 5-6 since I've been here. But the ones that I do post are for a couple of those reasons. Probably a mix of all of those reasons.
Reborn Outcast
Its because I have something to say or just want to express myself.
Mex
I post threads because I get bored, and I want to see what other people think. And many threads I have posted are pretty crap, but some are good!
leXX
Mainly boredom and curiousity. Extending my circle of friends beyond real life is a part of it too. Post count means nothing, neither does popularity.
Danyael
i generally like to mention stuff that I find interesting and gain input from others. I will reply to a thread if I think I can help the person asking the question. I frankly don't care about the points.. i will never use them.. lol As far as popularity, who cares.. I dont know any of these people in real life.. lol well that I know of at least.
Clem
it certainly isnt for points <<<<< but then again i dont post many threads most of mine are a canvas of opinion ... or sharing sumthing that i found particularly funny
Rogue Nine
During my entire stay here at XWA/Lucasforums, I've posted maybe a total of thirty/forty threads over 3+ years. Never saw much use for them unless I needed feedback for something.
WolfmanNCSU
I have not really started many threads. Less than 10 that is for sure. Maybe like 5 total. I just mainly like to reply to discussions already started.
Sam
I've only posted about two threads because I think before I post something stupid. I don't want to make people mad or hurt there feelings so I won't point out any threads.
XERXES
i thikn the random poll threads should be deleted, i could care less for them...and really are a waste of time and bandwith. I like when we actually have real discussions not boring stuff like. cats are the best rock music is awesome yoda is the man etc etc etc
PhantomHelix
you want the actual reason? most of the time, its an actual question... but my main supporting reason is i like to see how many posts it will have before it gets off topic...round here, its about..hmm, 5? Matt-Liell
Usually because I need to know some info or have some info to share. Sometimes because I have questions about my edits and mods I make for jk2 and my showcasing of work. That is why I post new threads mostly. Guest Jed
I post threads mainly to inform, or to get feedback. That's it, and most of the threads I've made are bad or.....bad.
Katarn07
Most of the time for a simple answer. Somtimes for people's opinions through a poll. Occasionaly for conversation (C'jiais would like those...)
Father Torque
Deffinetly not for populerity(My name and Av will do that for me:D ) I post threads to help the Swamp out. Like the Father Torque Foundation one. I will only post a thread when i know it will last and have many replies and views. I think it is safe to say that i am a genuine thread maker:p

Katarn07
Not the rason they post, it's how they do it that makes them memorable. I only know leXX and Darth Groovey over at SW boards off the top of my head because of the amusing debate between LotR or SW being better... And Insane, thanks for the title there, I glance at that av and sig and I was like "Why would she be quoting herself and referring to herself as 'you'..." lol
-s/<itzo-
some of the thread i created were benefitial to others. like helping people out how to make animated avs, av request, etc... some to spark an intelligent conversation. asking people their opinion on things. some entertaing like polls. and some to ask a question. Ratmjedi
Well I don't have that many threads that I have started. Usually all the thread that I have made get like 12 responses and then no one looks at them anymore. I also like to ask stuff about you guys so that I get to know you guys better and see if there are people that have my likes or that have habits that I do. I moslty respond though cause I am not that creative.
Katarn07
The majority of the threads I have created are in the Dark Forces Forums involoving the making of the mod for JO. Most of them were questions, some suggestions. Now that I found the swamp, I don't pot there unless there is a good topic that is going on.... Hekx
I don't really post threads. I usually only post one, if I can't find any other useful similar ones, or I really believe it's a good topic / idea to discuss.
