Diego Varen Posted September 5, 2006 Author Posted September 5, 2006 Thinking about McDonalds, I don't like the fact that I'm treated like a kid there. I suppose some would say the same about Burger King, but when I asked for Milk there (I drink Milk), it was all babyish.
milo Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 Burger King. McD's burgers are disgusting. A thin patty on soggy buns with ketchup, mustard, pickles, and processed onions? No thanks. Though I'd rather have Arby's or Panda Express over both of them.
Darth333 Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 Neither. It's been about 5-6 years at least since I had that kind of fast food. I prefer to either prepare my own meals or go to/order from a good restaurant. I have a top of the line grocery store 2-3 minutes from my place and there are many restaurants of all kinds near my workplace. Whenever I feel like having a good hamburger, the best place is a pub right beside my workplace so I've got no reason to go to a McDonald's or a Burger king.
TK-8252 Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 Both of them are crap, but not ALL fast food stinks. Taco Bell, Hardees, Captain D's and Popeyes are all very good.
HerbieZ Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 Can people please stop saying "Quoted for Truth" it's getting on my nackers.
HK-42 Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 Well my Family Guy Vs The Simpsons Thread has died, I've decided to do a Burger King Vs McDonalds Thread. I prefer Burger King, but I don't mind McDonalds, if I'm desperate. McDonalds is good at making Nuggets and Burger King is good at making Fries, in my opinion. The annoying thing for me is that nearly all the Burger Kings near me are closed and there are too many McDonalds around. I think McDonalds is overrated to be honest. Discuss here. agreed but sadley i have to go like tons of exits to go to ether one
Lynk Former Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 Burger King is called Hungry Jacks down here... Read more: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burger_King#Hungry_Jack.27s
Alkonium Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 Well, let's see. I've heard they make the burgers out of human feces at Burger King, and I work at McDonalds, so I'm going to have to go with McDonalds. For any Burger King employees, I was joking about the human feces.
CountVerilucus Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 Omg, I love Mcdonalds. Thank god for my fast metabolism
Maverick5770 Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 I really don't like either. When forced between the two i'd probably say MC's, but if I have the choice I like Subway, or Gass Stations. Pizza is good too.
Emperor Devon Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 Well, let's see. I've heard they make the burgers out of human feces at Burger King, Obviously the substance isn't the same, but I imagine the tastes aren't that different.
Commander Obi-Wan Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 I'd have to say McDonalds. I rarely eat at Burger King. Though, I don't eat fast food as often as I used to. But, McDonalds would have to be my choice from above.
RedHawke Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 Though watching "Supersize Me" should make anyone think twice about eating fast food more than just an occasional experience... Yup that film will open your eyes... I avoid all fast food places like the plague... You all should avoid fast food too, your body will thank you for it!
Lynk Former Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 lol I saw that movie and thought "I would never be that stupid as to eat nothing but McDonalds let alone any other fast food resturaunt." XD I mean, what did he expect? Of course it's gonna do very bad things to you if it's all you're gonna freakin eat... besides, in Australia we have never had a supersize and the portions are no where near as huge as you guys in the US have gotten now or in the past.
Aurora Merlow Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 Try to stay away from all fast food, but Burger king if i had to choose
Dagobahn Eagle Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 Where's the "They both suck hard"-option:confused:?
RedHawke Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 Where's the "They both suck hard"-option:confused:? Fixed! (Well an option like that one. )
Lantzen Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 McDonalds ftw, it can also be that the town i live in only have McDonalds
MdKnightR Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 We have a saying in my family....avoid MaggotDonalds! Being a vegetarian, I about puked when the McDonalds French Fry Fiasco hit the news.
Totenkopf Posted September 7, 2006 Posted September 7, 2006 I don't go to either, but if they were the ONLY two choices (other than starvation or self-canabalization), I'd pick Burger King. What was the french fry fiasco? That was about the only edible thing they made.
Jae Onasi Posted September 7, 2006 Posted September 7, 2006 There's just really no excuse for a poor diet. Humor mode: *Jae pictures El Sithy in that smoke-filled car eating brown rice, bean sprouts, and organic soy milk....*
MdKnightR Posted September 7, 2006 Posted September 7, 2006 What was the french fry fiasco? That was about the only edible thing they made. It came out that McDonalds was not disclosing the entire nutritional information about their fries, which contain BEEF FLAVORING, and were subsequently sued by vegetarians and Hindus. Here is an article about it... http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/2026776.stm
Astrotoy7 Posted September 7, 2006 Posted September 7, 2006 ....There's just really no excuse for a poor diet.... I guess "poor diet" doesnt include mind altering substances sithy I eat a bit of both of the listed options every now and then, nowdays I prefer (real) pizza or curries, and Mums Turkish cooking of course I also am fervently against judging people on the basis of their diet or dietary choices. Diet is as much a part of social and cultural choice than any other similar factor. The key to it all is an understanding of contributive factors to dietary choices, including socio-economic and cultural systems. Working with refugee families from Somalia, Sudan and Iraq has really opened my eyes to this very important part of life. Each set of peoples have such a markedly different view of food, it's fascinating and very challenging to work with them on this. Some of the dietitians at our work have done some great work understanding and adapting their work with people from such diverse backgrounds. From my perspective though(as a physical therapist) one thing I can tell you is that irrespective of what you eat, lack of exercise is a true recipe for distaster, particularly as your metabolism slows down when you pass your adolescent years. mtfbwya
Lynk Former Posted September 7, 2006 Posted September 7, 2006 My view, who cares... if you wanna eat Maccas, go ahead. If you wanna smoke whatever you want, go ahead... just don't force me to eat Maccas when I don't want to and I don't want to choke on your smoke... You're free to do whatever the hell you want to yourself.
