Indeed...although the artists themselves dislike the whole grunge label set on them by the mainstream media. Personally I've always thought It's a great word to describe the sound, it's definitely grungy. Even though the music can be vastly different and inspired by different genres altogether, take Nirvana for example who were inspired by punk rock whereas Alice in Chains have their roots in hard rock and blues.

Darth Elessar Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 I'm listening to some of Michelle Tumes' albums; They're very good & inspiring, such as the song Lovely Day from her newest album.
Jae Onasi Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 My son and I went to the Star Trek Convention in Chicago this past weekend. I picked up the CDs of music that the actors sang at the "Rat Pack" concert they hosted on Friday night. The songs were absolutely hilarious and the actors gave a terrific performance--I was rolling laughing. Max Grodenchik ('Rom' on Deep Space 9) has done the album "Max Tonight", and Vaughn Armstrong (various aliens on the Star Trek series) and Casey Biggs ('Damar' on DS9) have done a couple albums as the "Enterprise Blues" band. I'm enjoying all 3 CDs and laughing my butt off again.
