Cygnus Q'ol
No one had better timing than Gene Wilder. Nice one. Can't be a comedic thread without mentioning 'Geraldine' or should I say, Flip Wilson.
Stream
I have to say Victoria Wood and Stephen Lynch, they're both ace and like Rogue Nine said Stephen Lynch sings too which is great, Craig Christ & Special Ed are his best ones. --Stream

Inyri
OK, you all forgot the girls--Bette Midler and Carol Burnett. Carol Burnett's skit spoofing Gone With the Wind is one, if not THE, funniest moments in all of TV. Bette Midler is just hilarious, though not clean enough to watch with the kids. Ah yes, Carol Burnett is quite the funny lady. A little before my time, alas, but I've managed to catch a few gems here and there. And Bette Midler's always a win. mimartin
Noone's said Sam Kinison, I'll admit he was rude be he had his moments It is somehow appropriate that you brought his name up today. Not only does he belong on this list, but today April 10 is the 16th anniversary of his death.

The Doctor
Some others I had forgotten about until I started watching "Who's Line is it Anyway?" reruns.... Drew Carey Ryan Styles Colin Mochrie Wayne Brady Chip Astin Brad Sherwood Greg Proops I'll give you Styles, Mochrie, and Brady. Proops isn't bad. All the others just irritated me. Not as bad as the one blonde woman who's on the American version sometimes... The original host, Clive Anderson, was so much funnier than Drew, though. Jae Onasi
Oh, the original cast of Saturday Night Live was unbelievably talented in comedy. You had Belushi, Dan Akroyd, Radner, Jane Curtain, Morris, Lorraine Newman, and frequent appearances from Bill Murray and Steve Martin. I loved the Samauri series of skits that Belushi did, along with the Coneheads skits. The SNL skit where Chris Farley and Patrick Swayze play two guys trying out for the Chippendales dancers still makes me roll laughing. Not sure how I forgot Whoopi. Her comedic ability (and acting) is amazing.
mimartin
I loved the Samauri series of skits that Belushi did, along with the Coneheads skits. The Samurai Tailor sketch was the best. When Buck Henry said that the Samurai forgot the fly in the pants he had on, the way Belushi cocked his eye was hilarious. But if we are going to talk about sketch comedy, the original Saturday Night Life cast was great, but Monty Python’s Flying Circus is the kings of sketch comedy. “Self Defense Against Fresh Fruit” “Spam” and Dead Parrot are my favorites. However you cannot mention Monty Python without writing about “Monty Python and the Holy Grail.” One of the stupidest yet funniest movies ever made.
