Jason Skywalker
Digimon World. How you say about that?
ForeverNight
If Zork doesn't count... Probably D&D 3.5 (The Basic Game box set)... then AD&D 2.0...
Inyri
Chrono Trigger. [/thread] A very good choice. Would've been my first as well, I'm sure, except that I didn't know it existed til the Playstation 1 days (during my SNES days I was relegated to playing what was available at Blockbuster). I'd have loved to play it on original SNES. I remember the first time I beat it it froze during the cutscene and I had to do it over. I was so mad. tk102
If Zork doesn't count... Probably D&D 3.5 (The Basic Game box set)... then AD&D 2.0... Way to think to inside the box! I forgot about pencil and paper RPGs. I got my first D&D game about 2 years before Wizardry.
Jeff
As far as I can remember it was Baldur's Gate. Damn good game and I'm glad I played it because it really got me interested in RPGs.
The Source
Since someone said that "Zork" didn't count, I will have to change my first RPG. Hmmm... Metal Gear The Original (Nintendo) -or- Final Fantasy The Original (Nintendo)
igyman
I'm not sure if my first was Nox, or Diablo, regardless, they are both great RPgames.

Uilleand
Dungeons of Daggorath in 1982 ... actually, in the end probably more of an FPS than RP. But I was 9 years old. *chuckle* I didn't start tabletop RPing 'til I was in high school with Middle-Earth Role Playing and D&D of course... So, the first CRPG I played is probably Divine Divinity, a really, really decent top-down 2-D RP. I found it in a $9.99 bin at a drug store and figured my old beastie of a computer could handle it. That was two years ago. So, that makes me a n0ob and an old fart all at once...
Ctrl Alt Del
Mine was either that one Digimon World. or that Chrono Trigger. or this one Diablo II If you ask me the second one, however, I'm sure it was Breath of Fire IV.
Ravnas
Dude.... TSL, Pokemon, or Baldur's Gate, maybe The Elder Scrolls.
TKA-001
I think the first RPG game I played was Star Wars: Galaxies. Interestingly, my tolerance of the combat in SWG (at the time) was what convinced me to pick up the KOTOR series.
patient_zero
Mine was Pokémon Red. I chose Squirtle ;D If that doesn't count... gosh, I can't remember. Might have been a Final Fantasy.

Point Man
My first RPG? Tabletop Dungeon's and Dragons (before the Player's Handbook came out). My first CRPG? KotOR.
Sabretooth
Including demos, I think it would be some obscure title called Abomination something. Excluding demos, I think it should be Deus Ex. Not really sure, though. Got fuzzy memories of that era.

Dragoon ZER0
For consoles it was Dragon Warrior on the NES. I didn't get into PC RPGs until later with Baldur's Gate.
