SW01
Again, I have several 'favourites': -4 of the Star Wars movies (RotS to RotJ); -Men in Black; -Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country; Star Trek Nemesis; -Independence Day. Number one is a close run between ESB and ST VI.
Astor
The Star Wars Saga, obviously. Stargate Independence Day Mars Attacks! Galaxy Quest - the Avatar gives that away... Although I think my all-time favourite is The Wrath of Khan, or First Contact.
Litofsky
From what I've seen (and in no particular order of importance): - Star Wars Saga - Independence Day - Alien/Aliens - Next Generation Star Trek movies There may be more, but those are the ones I remember off the top of my head. jrrtoken
In no particular order. This will take awhile: Star Wars Galaxy Quest Terminator The Fifth Element 2001 Mars Attacks! (I wouldn't technically call that a sci-fi ) The Day the Earth Stood Still Children of Men THX-1138 War of the Worlds (Both versions) WALL-E Close Encounters of the Third Kind Metropolis (The original, of course) Forbidden Planet Invasion of the Body Snatchers (The original) Planet of the Apes (The original) Soylent Green is people! Blade Runner Tron The Iron Giant I Am Legend The Thing (Both versions) The Cell Yeah, I'm a geek, and I'm proud!

Arcesious
Well since everyone posting all of their favorites, I'll post all of mine... Starwars 1-6 (Luke, I am your Father!) Back to the Future 1-3 (The Doc is hilarious!) Galaxy Quest (The engines on the Protector first gave me my 'Ventdrives' idea, which is present in ships in fanfiction stories I've made.) The Matrix (Purely awesome) Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within (Really awesome animation. I don't care about what the movie was about, it was just cool to watch.) The Iron Giant (Simply a classic!) Startrek: Nemesis, First Contact, and Insurrection(Startrek FTW!)

Commander Obi-Wan
I'd have to say Equilibrium and Terminator 2 (and probably Terminator Salvation) would be my favourite sci-fi movies.
Yar-El
Star Wars is not sci-fi, it's space fantasy. Star Wars is considered by some to be science-fiction fantasy. Similar to the category science-fiction horror. We now have sub-genras. My top 10 list - (1) Terminator I/II (2) Bladerunner (3) Aliens (4) Chronicles of Riddick (5) Dune (6) The Crow: Salvation (7) Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers ? (7) Stigmata (8) Pitch Black (9) Tin-Man (10) The Time Machine - H.G. Wells 1 = My most-most favorite. 10 = My least favorite but still one of my favorites. jrrtoken
Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within (Really awesome animation. I don't care about what the movie was about, it was just cool to watch.)Oh yeah, I remember that. Absolutely jaw-dropping animation at the time, although the plot was a bit confusing, and I don't what the correlation between the film and game series was, but overall, it was a pretty good movie.
