Firefox. Tabbed browsing, themes, and extensions make it the better browser. The only thing that bothers me (which I'm learning about in web page design) is that sometimes firefox doesn't support certain things that you embed in your page, like blinking text or sounds.

FireFox. Tabbed browsing and security for the win!

And extensions are great. <3 AdBlock and [the new] Video Downloader.

New? I've been using it for quite some time. Although I'm only now seeing it on the 'Top 10 Extensions' or whatever.

Depending on the system though, I may be more inclined to use a browser that uses less memory (like Opera or Avant).

Firefox because it works well, except for some of my online financial institutions and my company's website. Both seem to have issues when I access them using Firefox so I end up using IE for those types of things and my e-mail. I use Firefox for everything else.

I've briefly checked out IE 7 but I have no plans to switch back to IE once IE 7 goes gold. I seem to recall that at some point in the past MS stated that they were no longer going to develop IE independent of its OS and that IE 6 was going to be the last standalone browser it would produce. Then of course Firefox came along and caught MS with its britches down, heh-heh-heh. :smirk2:

I'll stay with Firefox unless there is a compelling reason to change.

Mozilla Firefox. My argument's for why it's better than IE are the same as stoffe -mkb-'s. I'll quote:

* No annoying popup windows, haven't seen a single one in more than a year.

* Being able to make annoying Flash banners go away with a mouseclick.

* Similarily, being able to block annoying images with a mouseclick (like those rapidly blinking avatars some forum members seem so fond of).

* Being able to easily block cookies for certain sites, while allowing it for others.

* Tabbed browsing, having 12+ IE windows open was driving me (almost) mad.

* More useful/easier to use search, bookmark and history functions.

* Allows you to tweak more settings to fine tune things to your liking (by typing about:config in the address field)

My fandom even goes beyond the normal...:xp:
