DeadYorick Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 Mine was Spyro the Dragon. I bought it right after getting a PS1. Really set the standards for platforming gameplay for me. After that I bought the rest of the PS1 series and then went into shooters.
DrPhil2501 Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 The very first original Prince of Persia. Then it was Tetris... then it was DUKE NUKEM.
Commander Obi-Wan Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 I don't remember. Probably some game from the SNES.
Marius Fett Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 The original Mortal Kombat on the Sega Megadrive. (A.K.A Sega Genesis)
jrrtoken Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 Dr. T's Sing-Along, for Windows 3.1. Yeah, I'm old-school.
TriggerGod Posted August 2, 2008 Posted August 2, 2008 (A.K.A Sega Genesis) I remember that ^_^ I had S.W.A.T Team, and I wreaked pwnage ^_^
DarthAve Posted August 2, 2008 Posted August 2, 2008 Either Duck Hunt for the SNES, or Sonic The Hedgehog in some sort of way... I remember when I had a Genesis. I had a game called Boogerman. :3
GeneralPloKoon Posted August 2, 2008 Posted August 2, 2008 Gex:Enter the Gecko. 10 years ago on Christmas Day.
Ctrl Alt Del Posted August 3, 2008 Posted August 3, 2008 I had a game called Boogerman. :3 Wasn't it Bomberman, Ave?
Giant Graffiti Posted August 3, 2008 Author Posted August 3, 2008 ^^^ I'm pretty sure he means Boogerman, I seem to remember owning it for the SNES.
Ctrl Alt Del Posted August 3, 2008 Posted August 3, 2008 Oh yes! I remember it! It's that rather "peculiar" game where you could fart to kill your enemies, right?
DarthAve Posted August 3, 2008 Posted August 3, 2008 Yeah, I believe he ran around in underpants too... Silly games of yore...
SW01 Posted August 9, 2008 Posted August 9, 2008 I cannot for the life of me remember the name of this thing, but I do remember that it was an RPG on the SNES where you wandered around doing FF style quests, with a flute as your only 'weapon'...and a pig? I must have been about seven - about 1995, but the game was older.
dhollmusik Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Wow, some nice responses to a good question. Hmmm...we had an Atari at home from when I was but a toddler... Yars Revenge? The first game I got really obsessed with and completed was Turrican on the C64.
ellimar Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 I am pretty young, so I think the first game I played was eighther NHL 98 or Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire.
Ztalker Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 Ooh...difficult. I think Sonic on the old Sega Megadrive, at a cousin. And, my own, Zelda: Link's Awakening on the good old Gameboy Color. Took me months to save up for the gameboy...but it was worth it. Wait...that was 1998...means I'm a gamer for 10 years now
Great Scott! Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 Oi, I don't even remember, it was so long ago. The earliest video game-related picture of me would be one with me on the ground near a Super Mario Bros. 3 cartridge. I think I was about one or two.
Jae Onasi Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 Haunted House and Cat and Mouse on a Magnavox Odyssey. *Jae wins*
