Mine was Spyro the Dragon. I bought it right after getting a PS1. Really set the standards for platforming gameplay for me. After that I bought the rest of the PS1 series and then went into shooters.

I cannot for the life of me remember the name of this thing, but I do remember that it was an RPG on the SNES where you wandered around doing FF style quests, with a flute as your only 'weapon'...and a pig? I must have been about seven - about 1995, but the game was older.

Wow, some nice responses to a good question.

Hmmm...we had an Atari at home from when I was but a toddler...

Yars Revenge?

The first game I got really obsessed with and completed was Turrican on the C64.

Ooh...difficult. I think Sonic on the old Sega Megadrive, at a cousin. And, my own, Zelda: Link's Awakening on the good old Gameboy Color. Took me months to save up for the gameboy...but it was worth it.

Wait...that was 1998...means I'm a gamer for 10 years now :xp:

Oi, I don't even remember, it was so long ago.

The earliest video game-related picture of me would be one with me on the ground near a Super Mario Bros. 3 cartridge. I think I was about one or two.
