Darth Avlectus
But of course. What are your plans? Getting "fit-shaced" err, "into those 'soda' drinks" for the occasion? Perhaps lounging at a favorite hangout? Or maybe you're one of those stay at home types? Perhaps you don't even celebrate and you go to sleep before midnight? Hang out with friends? Out and about in general? Maybe spend it with the people for whom you care? Casinos and clubs? (Yick!) Out in the barn with your favorite farm animals? Deezamn--did I just say that? Oh mybad! Yes, you said it, and no, we are NOT discussing celebrations with barnyard animals.... --Jae Annoying the other guy/girl? (though I hardly think that's possible) Shoveling snow and petting thy wookiee? I'm probably going to go up north for awhile in the daytime with a companion or something like that. Maybe crossbow darts, a movie, maybe something else. Hanging out--pretty much whatever. Then we go dine--probably for the best side of burgers anywhere though I still have my heart set on mexican food. Then we head to my lab for evil experiments and projects --muwahaha! Probably play video games and stuff too. And whatever other mischief as it winds down into the night. Oh come on, you have plans--what are they? If I don't check back here tomorrow (12-31), I'll talk to you next year!

Feagildin
I'm gonna sit around at home I think. My fiancee is away for school/work and the motor in my car died yesterday, so I can't go see her like I wanted to.
Tommycat
1) I NEVER go out on amateur night. Too many first time drunks thinking they can handle their cars. And too many regular drunks going further beyond their limits still thinking they are "Ok to drive." I think I'd rather sit at home and celebrate with friends... 2) My job requires me to be working New Years. Trust me, you'd rather have me working that night. I'm one of the best at my job, and with me at the helm you won't even know that I'm dillegently working to make your lives easier. When I fail at my job, you hear about it on all the news stations. And no, I'm not an ATC.

igyman
I'll most likely stay at home, watch some movies and stuff like that, unless some last minute opportunities for a "night on the town" present themselves.
Sabretooth
Watch 1970s sexploitation films interspersed with some of the finest films of this decade, such as Pan's Labyrinth. I do this in hopes that the following decade will have films that combine the greatness of both.
Quanon
Watch 1970s sexploitation films interspersed with some of the finest films of this decade, such as Pan's Labyrinth. Not really sexploitation, but a nice 70's movie arrived for me today: Bullit! With that cool Ford Mustang car chase... and Steve Mcqueen, raaaaaawrrhh! I also received Metropolis, best Sci Fi ever, from 1927, silent film, oh boy! Jollynes awaits meeeee! Its just noon here, counting down... to early to count down... I'll say - it's an absolutely excellent film that further amazes me by the fact that it was made during the Weimar Republic. A real slice of history, that. Q
A friend of mine throws a huge New Year's bash every year, of the sort where "what happens at the party stays at the party". There's always a live band or two (or three or four) and lots of horny women, booze and other unmentionable stuff, along with a private place to, um, sleep (yeah, that's it) afterwards, so there's no drunk driving involved. jawathehutt
Going to the party with my parents that I've gone to for the past 13 years or so, and as soon as I can Im dipping to go to my friends house, where we have a meager $80 worth of rum and schnapps stockpiled and 2 360s connected for some drunk halo and cod. And some advice from the guy with the worlds greatest job, Anthony Bourdain: "Tips for a great New Year's Eve: 1. Don't over-do it 2. Ignore rule #1"

Jae Onasi
The title of this thread made me cringeMe too. :sheepdanc We're going to load up one of the Rock Bands tonight and all 4 of us are going to rock in the New Year. We'll have snacks, drinks (coffee with some Bailey's for me), and go absolutely nowhere so we don't have to worry about the other idiot drivers on the road. @Evil Q and anyone else partying your brains out: 1. Don't drink and drive, b. use condoms, c. drink 1 glass of water for every alcoholic drink you have, and d. Have lots of fun. I want to see you all in the New Year safe and sound.
