TiE23
Ordered this to replace my uber ****ty 1.7ghz Pentium 4 rig that's 5 years old. http://www.woot.com/Blog/BlogEntry.aspx?BlogEntryId=2363 I think it's a pretty great deal. I'll install my copy of Vista on dis sucka (and see if it's worth keeping it on). The CPU is pretty average, 1 gig is average, too. And I'm not going to be playing games on this thing anyway. So as long as it doesn't catch fire when I plug it in it should be fine right after I delete all the trial software off it. I think this will count as my largest purchase... ever... $365.... Darth Groovy
Bought it today, the Logitech Harmony 520. After much recommendation. All of the rumors you heard about this thing are absolutely true. This thing runs everything. Runs my 360, my TV, all my AV components....the works. The only catch is you set it up on the pc, and then download the specs via USB cable. It takes a while, but it is worth the bother. For example, I hit a button called "Play a DVD" and it turns on the TV, the Receiver IN the right setting, and the DVD plays. When I hit "Play XBox 360, it turns everything else off, and turns on the receiver AND the 360 to the exact settings, AND runs the 360. This is by far the BEST multi function remote I have ever had, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking the same simplicity that I have. In fact, it is so damn impressive, that my own mother requested one for Mother's Day. Done deal!
Jeff
Nice Grooves. I could use something like that, we still have something like 3 remotes sitting around our TV.
TiE23
enjoy your aids. Eh. I'm going to test it out. Hell, I may even put Ubuntu on it if I feel particularly propelled to do so. Also, this arrived yesterday My dad is excited and I'm re-reading the first one (Old Man's War). It's like 60% Halo and 40% Starship Troopers made together into a book that is actually fun to read, unlike other military novels.

acdcfanbill
Thou shalt read David Weber, particularly his Honor Harrington novels. Oh yes, those Honor Harrington novels are superb. I especially like another of his series, Heirs of Empire was the omnibus's name. I liked that even more, yet I think it's forever capped at 3 books. Commander Obi-Wan
I got it yesterday. So far, it's pretty sweet. The HDMI makes the picture look pretty damn good. Plus, I like the shade/colour of it. Fun game so far. Though, I'm not to far into it.

Every book by him I've read is excellent, and by excellent, I mean totally awesome.
TiE23
Well, I've watched the entire first season of Metalocalypse in the last few days. One of the funniest shows I've seen in a while. Dr. Rockso music video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O2ZFHpva31U "So let me get this straight. You drop this things in boiling hot water, they shriek, turn red, and they die. That. Is the most metal thing. Ever. High five." I'd kill for a full length Dethklok album. Hell, just the full version of the song they play in the last episode when they're playing the Dethwater Live! concert. EPIC music. EDIT: This one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SkjOgawK7L0 Yeah, I looked up where Thunderhorse came from in GHII and found Metalocalypse. Thunderhorse on Medium is incredibly easy and fun. I consistently get 99% accuracy, only missing 2 or 3 notes.

Negative Sun
I know they're brothers but I thought they broke up a long time ago. Or is this just an old album (I don't know). I remember when they were huge. At my school only the girls liked them and the guys made fun of the group and anybody who liked them who wasn't a girl. You're probably referring to the Mmmbop period...They have made 3 albums since, of which this is their last that came out last month, they own their own label now and have grown incredibly as musicians ans singer/songwriters. They still have amazing harmonies with a rock n roll edge...If you are not musically challenged and not a narrow minded individual I would highly suggest their last two albums to you (not speaking to Chase in particular here)
