Jae Onasi
Michael Jackson has been taken to the hospital with cardiac arrest according to breaking news. There is an unconfirmed rumor of his death. From my experience in the medical field, when CPR is done in the field, the survival rate is about 10% even when you do everything absolutely right, so the unconfirmed rumor is unfortunately likely to be true. Comment on CPR--please learn it, and use it if necessary, even knowing the mortality rate is high. You still have a 10% chance of saving someone, and you can't make them any more dead once you start. As bad as this may sound. I'm not to upset about it.. Sorry to all that are No one deserves to die. and I would never wish it on anyone. Doesn't mean I have to be sad about this though Comment on CPR--please learn it, and use it if necessary, even knowing the mortality rate is high. igyman
WTF?! It seems so many celebrities are dying, or are nearing death in recent weeks. Very very gloomy.
Astor
It has now, apparently been confirmed - he is dead. Michael Jackson had been 'dying' for a long time, but was apparently in good health, all things considered. I was never a fan, but RIP.
LordOfTheFish
R.I.P As Astor said, I'm not really a fan, but he didn't deserve to die.
igyman
Not at the age of fifty anyway. RIP Michael.

Jae Onasi
I grew up in the 70's and 80's (quite a feat when you're 29 as I am). I can't tell you the huge impact his Thriller album had on pop music, dancing, and rock concert performances, whether you liked his music or not. It would be like the current music scene being without Brittney Spears (no matter what you might think about her). He was a man with a lot of troubles, to be sure, but he shaped the music of an entire decade. I didn't like all the music he did and I can't call myself a huge fan, but it's hard not to like the Thriller video and song, among others. RIP. Boba Rhett
I heard the reports coming in on the radio about an hour ago. Sad to see they were true. Rest In Peace, Michael.
JediAthos
I'll always remember him as the Thriller, and the King of Pop, not what he became in the end. RIP Thriller!

Darth Leo
I got the news about 40 minutes ago. I didn't believe it for a while, but it looks like it's true. I don't know how to feel about it. If there was something that was constant in popular music, it was that Michael Jackson was the best. I never thought he'd die anytime soon, even though I knew he wasn't in the best health. I'm not exactly a fan, but I admired him as an amazing artist. RIP, Michael.

Totenkopf
Well, 50 is still young for dying from a heart attack (not that younger people don't die, just that longevity has increased). I understand that makes him one of the 3 legs of the "celebrities die in threes" concept. Other two apparently being Farah Fawcett and Ed McMahon. mimartin
Did not approve of the lifestyle he was accused of living, but I cannot deny that Thriller is one of the greatest albums of all-time. RIP
Tobias Reiper
I will always remember him, he was The Pop-Legend, the very best in it. It's close to midnight and something evil's lurking in the dark Under the moonlight, you see a sight that almost stops your heart You try to scream but terror takes the sound before you make it You start to freeze as horror looks you right between the eyes You're paralyzed 'Cause this is thriller, thriller night And no one's gonna save you from the beast about strike You know it's thriller, thriller night You're fighting for your life inside a killer, thriller tonight You hear the door slam and realize there's nowhere left to run You feel the cold hand and wonder if you'll ever see the sun You close your eyes and hope that this is just imagination, girl! But all the while you hear the creature creeping up behind You're out of time 'Cause this is thriller, thriller night There ain't no second chance against the thing with forty eyes, girl Thriller, thriller night You're fighting for your life inside a killer, thriller tonight Night creatures calling, the dead start to walk in their masquerade There's no escaping the jaws of the alien this time (They're open wide) This is the end of your life They're out to get you, there's demons closing in on every side They will possess you unless you change that number on your dial Now is the time for you and I to cuddle close together, yeah All through the night I'll save you from the terror on the screen I'll make you see That this is thriller, thriller night 'Cause I can thrill you more than any ghost would ever dare try Thriller, thriller night So let me hold you tight and share a Killer, diller, chiller, thriller here tonight 'Cause this is thriller, thriller night Girl, I can thrill you more than any ghost would ever dare try Thriller, thriller night So let me hold you tight and share a killer, thriller, ow! (I'm gonna thrill ya tonight) Darkness falls across the land The midnight hour is close at hand Creatures crawl in search of blood To terrorize y'alls neighborhood I'm gonna thrill ya tonight, ooh baby I'm gonna thrill ya tonight, oh darlin' Thriller night, baby, ooh! The foulest stench is in the air The funk of forty thousand years And grizzly ghouls from every tomb Are closing in to seal your doom And though you fight to stay alive Your body starts to shiver For no mere mortal can resist The evil of the thriller R.I.P Michael.
