Diego Varen Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 No this isn't remember your first day at School. Anyway, when do you start School? If you've already started, say. This Thread will also allow Work/College/University first days. Discuss.
Jason Skywalker Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 Well, somewhere between 10 and 20, i'm going to the 7th Grade, wish me luck everyone!
Ztalker Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 I've started Monday..and it rocked Today, my classes began at 3 PM (I thought). So I visited my mate before i'd get to school. So..he goes: "I have an Opel Tigra. With a sunroof. And a superior audio system. The weather's beatifull." So before I knew it, we were cruising to school, windows open. And now i'm here...chilled out, and happy
Jeff Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 I started nearly 2 weeks ago... Damn you kids and your late school start dates At least I'm a senior so I get out early.
Pho3nix Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 I started about 3weeks ago 2nd year of High School? that's probably the right equivalent, i'm not sure about the american school system.
Jae Onasi Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 My kids started yesterday. In WI, unless there's some really unusual circumstance, the state says the school year has to start after Labor Day. Of course, they don't get out til the first week of June, but since it's still pretty cool here til early June anyway, it's not a big problem.
stingerhs Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 my classes for this semester started up about three weeks ago. fortunately, this is looking to be my last school year that i need for my degree.
El Sitherino Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 Classes started the 28th of August. But I have yet to actually start my classes, my teachers still have up a "To Be Announced". So, yay.
Venom750 Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 I've finished college almost a year back man i feel i bit old on this forum
Jae Onasi Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 I've finished college almost a year back man i feel i bit old on this forum Oh, you're just a baby yet. Wait til you get to "Permanently 29" status. And yes, Emperor D, I really am under 40, thank you very much. I finished college 11 years ago--hard to believe already. However, I'm very happy to never have any finals ever again. Unless I'm insane enough to go back and finish my history master's.
ChAiNz.2da Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 However, I'm very happy to never have any finals ever again. Unless I'm insane enough to go back and finish my history master's. Amen sister.. amen... I just recently went to yet even more certification classes.. and ugghhh.. now I rememer why I graduated in the first place. So I wouldn't have to go through classes again.. hehehe... Guess that plan went all to heck.. I'm actually still in one of the certs. I've passed 2 of the 3 required courses to get my latest Apple Pro Certification... so one more 2 hour test and I should be "out of school" for at least a few more months
coupes. Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 I'm done with school ! It kinda felt weird not to go back to school at this time of the year, but you know the feeling quicly dissapears when you see the kids faces
RC-1162 Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 skool started for me on the 2nd, but i was sitting at home with jetlag, so the official first day was missed
igyman Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 Heh, heh. My first year (or should I say first semester) of college starts in October, so I have a little less than a month of Rest & Relaxation. Ooooooo, yeah.
Hallucination Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 I just finished my first day of grade 10. It's tough going to school from 10:55-12:00. Tomorrow I have my first real day of school, so I have to meet two teachers I've never even heard about in the morning. @Jae: 39 FTW?
Det. Bart Lasiter Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 I started today, butI still have to register for my math course (there's no more math courses I can take at my high school and I want as much math credit as I can get), and I have just 1 more English credit to get so I don't really have to do **** this semester.
The Doctor Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 I started day after Labour Day. Grade 12.
milo Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 Hey, I already made a thread about this. Oh well. I started on 8/22. It's not too bad though. All I have this year are Calc and Physics, plus programming and web page design. And somehow I also ended up taking health and philosophy. Dunno how that happened.
Temp3rMental Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 I think I have about a week or so left until I finish my 3rd semester in college (started back in June or July, I forget). Then I get 2 weeks of relaxation, and head back again in October. 2 weeks of late summer break =/= 2 months of summer break ^^Only thing I liked about school
Commander Obi-Wan Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 I just started yesterday. My classes are okay. I'll be a sophomore this year.
Emperor Devon Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 And yes, Emperor D, I really am under 40, thank you very much. For the sake of being on-topic, I started my classes today. They will be most entertaining.
Master Jimmy Posted September 7, 2006 Posted September 7, 2006 I was having a good day, until the end of it. My math teacher gave me a final exam and it was for marks.
Jae Onasi Posted September 7, 2006 Posted September 7, 2006 @Jae: 39 FTW? And yes, Emperor D, I really am under 40, thank you very much. A woman who will tell her age will tell anything. My next birthday is going to involve some serious celebration as I celebrate the (censored) anniversary of turning 29. @ChAiNz--I have to take a number of continuing ed credits every year for my license, but happily there are no tests involved. The speakers are usually good, too, so while I may have to be sitting in a class at 8am on a Saturday, at least it's not boring. My kids had good first days at school. I got to meet the teachers and they seem to have a clue, so I'm happy. My house was _very_ quiet with both kids at school. I made it about 90 minutes before I had to call Jimbo and tell him the silence was deafening.
stingerhs Posted September 7, 2006 Posted September 7, 2006 I made it about 90 minutes before I had to call Jimbo and tell him the silence was deafening. hehe, time to crank up the ol' PC and start playing some Oblivion.
