Seriously, this has a lingering "ick" factor to it... and I'm quite sure it wasn't just that charitable groups that were miffed. I'm pretty sure some parents out there wanted to do some headhunting. I WORK in Marketing.. we know for darn sure when we run a campaign what it's objectives are and it's target audience. This is exactly what they anticipated. Because it is true (to an extent)... "There's no such thing as bad press". Stunts like this just smear the news/web sites with their product name... for free. Yeah, it may not reflect well.. but this stunt will be a non-factor in about a month, but in the meantime they'll (Virgin) be reaping the benefits after-the-fact.
