jrrtoken Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 I found a neat thing on the Internets today, the Political Compass. To sum it up, you take a quiz that measures your political spectrum, and they analyze the results to determine where you stand. Topics vary from national security to sexuality. It's a neat timewaster, nonetheless. It turns out that I have the rating of -5.25 in the Economic Left/Right category and a rating of -2.56 in the Social Libertarian/Authoritarian category. Also presented in graph form in glorious Technicolor: As it turns out, I supposedly have pretty equal views with Gandhi.
JediMaster12 Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 I've seen this quiz before and I took it. I was ranked as a moderate liberal, something I always knew though interestingly enough some of my views are a bit more radical. It's a nice cute little quiz but I personally think that what your politics are don't necessarily fit neatly into a category.
True_Avery Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 Mine is usually 2-3 boxes to the left, but can vary between Authoritarian and Libertarian depending on my mood.

Tyrion Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 I forgot the exact measurements, but I was almost a dead center economic moderate with a bit of a libertarian streak.
Jeff Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 Economic Left/Right: -2.00 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -1.74 I am always somewhere near the center, usually slightly left in these kind of tests. Mostly because I either don't have a strong opinion about a lot of the topics, or with some I agree with the left answer and others with the right.
jonathan7 Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 Economic Left/Right: -6.62 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.33 http://www.politicalcompass.org/printablegraph?ec=-6.62&soc=-5.33 Left wing of Ghandi No mean feat for a devout Christian

ForeverNight Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 Economic Left/Right: 3.88 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 2.31 About time there was somebody to the right in this thread.

The Doctor Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 Economic Left/Right: -8.00 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -4.00 Not really surprising, to be honest. Though I am surprised that I appear to be the Left-most poster thus far.
Litofsky Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 *shrugs* Right in the middle of the 'Liberal' side of things. Personally, I see myself a little 'higher' on the scale, as opposed to how 'Libertarian' it has me. Different tests, one should note, different results.
Allronix Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 Mind you, this should shock no one who's read my blog or seen me spout off on a political board. Economic Left/Right: -9.25 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -6.46
ForeverNight Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 Just took the test that D3 linked us to: You are a Social Moderate (50% permissive) and an... Economic Conservative (61% permissive) You are best described as a: Centrist I always thought I was more to the right than that... wow, learn something everyday.
GarfieldJL Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 I rated: Economic Left/Right: 1.75 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 0.31 So basically I'm a Conservative/Moderate, didn't surprise me any.
